  1. I would agree that Blake Rodersheimer was one of the best catchers last season if not the best. I would like to know how many kids stole bases against him last season. Also, A pitchers stats has a lot to do with the skill and knowledge of the catcher behind the plate. Boone had a few pitchers last season who had great seasons including NKY player of the year , Trey Ganns. A catcher can make or break a pitcher. He will be a hard player to replace behind the plate.

This may be true once kids get older and catchers call the game. Not so sure this applies last year at Boone. Although, Rodershiemer is a really good catcher

    This ^^^

  3. ESPN is stupid. The Lakers are the most valuable franchise in the NBA. I'd say Kobe Bryant is the best thing to ever happen to the Lakers. Only in our society is a person who won 5 championships in a 19 year career for one team and played a large part in making them the most valuable NBA franchise ever is he considered bad for the Lakers.

NO one wants to play with Kobe if they have the choice.

  4. It's time. Father Time has defeated him. He deserves to go out better than Jeter did.

Kobe is washed up! He needs to go ahead and retire and give the Lakers a chance to build a team. All he's doing is prolonging the rebuilding for his own selfish reasons. No one wants to come and play with him, he wants to be the superstar number one on the team and those days may be behind him other than shooting 40 shots a game. His ego will get in the way of the Lakers putting any talent around him.

  5. That does bring up a good question on how a jury would see it. If one guy starts it and the other guy uses a bottle to defend himself, how harsh do you go with the punishment? Obviously the answer would depend on if the guy was really defending himself or not and how he wielded the bottle. If it goes to trial it will be interesting to follow the testimony and hopefully video of the altercation. No matter what else the guy who used the bottle should be out of the program.

  6. Seems to me the Reds' greatest concerns are contractual. Specifically, how does the team jettison Votto's $200 million-plus contract? The sooner Walt gets rid of his contract, the better. Cards didn't hesitate to send the popular Allen Craig to Boston when he failed to produce in '14 after an injury in September of '13. Reds need to move Votto similarly. He's simply not earning his salary.

Walt should be fired for giving Votto that ridiculous contract...

  7. :lol2: :lol2: :lol2:

Yeah, because that's the first time all season Jameis has played crappy the whole first half. Was the defense in on it also? They gave up what....24 points in the first half? Was the offensive line in on it also? They opened up ZERO holes for the RBs in the first half. Wait....were the coaches in on it also because they didn't use Dalvin Clark for his 9 carries of domination until the second half.

    Amazing........

    :lol2: :lol2:

I heard Jameis rescued a dog the other day. Come to find out he stole the neighbor's dog and took it to a kill shelter.

I agree, now he shaves points? I don't agree with alot of things the kid has done, but this sounds like a bookie who doesn't want to pay because he was taken for $5,000. So, the next best thing to do is cry foul.....

  8. Towles will have his work cutout for him to try to beat out Barker. He made 3 good throws all day.

It's wasn't the best played game but it was really entertaining. UL made a ton of mistakes to keep UK in the game and they still couldn't do anything with it.

That's an opinion not sure Barker will be much better than towels..

  9. I think Neal Brown is an outstanding coach. As a UK fan, would love to see him stay. As a Neal Brown fan, I am for whatever is best for him and his family.

I have called a lot of plays with young teams, injured teams, transitioning a program, teams that weren't sure they could win, limitations the general public was unaware of....etc. It is tough to do, in my opinion.

Lol..yeah maybe if he continues to call the same plays over and over, eventually the offensr we will gain a few yards..

  10. He called him out for being selfish and not doing things the team way but trying to do things his way. Not like he blamed him for the loss. I like a coach holding players accountable for their actions. It teaches them more about the real world and better prepared them for ice after football.

Our society is to soft. Nobody should ever have their feelings hurt. These are young adults and they should be held accountable for their actions. The same would be said about any job in the real world.

That should be done one on one behind closed doors not in the media..IMO..Maybe he should call out his offensive and defensive coordinator that may be a good idea..

  11. Bama would have a better shot than OSU, imo. Given the time he has been spending in Lexington and his pro UK "tweets" I believe he is UK bound. That's just my honest opinion though, I don't have sources like some others apparently have.

    scrap

  12. Asked whether the Browns were better than he previously thought, Hill said, "Oh no, not at all. They're probably worse than I thought, to be honest with you.

    He didn't stop there.

"They didn't do anything special to me," Hill continued. "I mean, respect to them, they won the game. But that's all I'll give them."

"Those guys, they're not that good," he said. "It was on us [Thursday]. We gave them the game, in my opinion. They didn't do anything special. We just gave them the game. They just sat back with coverage the whole day."

Someone needs to teach him how to show respect for a team that just manhandled you. You may feel that way but to say it after you have just got beat down isn't very smart. The thing that i took away from the article was him stating, "They didn't do anything special to me". Not to mention you are a backup..

  13.

Assuming the new policies survive the legal appeals process, Patterson said UT won’t have problems paying the extra $6 million to its players. That money will break down to about $10,000 for each player. The money will cover college expenses that aren’t covered by a traditional full scholarship and give each player $5,000 in compensation for the university’s use of his image.
