The TEAM that wants it more will WIN. Tigers 24 - 21 in OT . . . .

Who did T play the first three weeks? What was their ranking in the first Lit rating? Case Closed.

T hasn't been at the top since week 1. The first ranking didn't come out until the 2nd or 3rd week of the season and BG was #1.

I hate to say it but, I call em like I see em. . . This X team is wanting to get the season over!!! I have not seen improvement so going into week 7, one should be surprised if substaintial progress has been made. I see Male by 10 points..... This game is the game of the season, if X comes up short, one can get ready to collect the equipment. The remainder of the season will be a formality. W vs. Manual, L vs. Cincy X. L vs. first round Playoffs........

I would like for the C-J to explain how the rankings are determined in the Lit rankings. I understand that it is all in state schools vs. in state schools. Then how has Trinity been at the top since week 1????? DO NOT MISSUNDERSTAND ME, Trinity deserves the ranking in my opinion. How can any publication state the criteria and also say " out of state games do not count" and rank a team that has not played in KY. In my opinion, the LIT ratings are worthless and are only a ploy to sell newspapers....... However, I would still love to hear how the CJ LIt ratings rank T with no data points to go on..... To me that screams a farce!!!

Mr.Football is voted on by the media. The media are regional entities who will not see everyone play.

 

A. Being well known before the season starts is a good thing.

B. Getting covered during this season is a good thing.

C. Putting up big numbers is a good thing.

and last but certainly not least

D. Being recruited by U.K. is a good thing.

St. X may be over rated! Not that they do not have the potential and tallent to be no. 1 at end of season, just not showing all the cards at this time. As an objective fan, (really), they have not impressed me this year, so far. Yes the run game has shown flashes of big time yards, however, the play calling limits the total execution. We will have to wait and see on this one...... and time is running out... Can't expect to make quantum leaps the last two weeks of the regular season.....

I look for an upset in this game!!!! Yellowjackets show speed, focus on shutting down the pass and key on the running game.

Jackets 28 - 24..... And then the real head scratching will begin on Popar Level.....

X will want to win the game in 4 qtrs. Won't lay claim to a victory by playing 12 minutes........

Scott Co. is having a good year and may be loaded, but they have to BEAT T or X or maybe both this year to prove they belong in the discussion with T or X. No disrespect. I know Scott Co. has been working on it for a few years.... Maybe this is their YEAR!!!! But they will have to prove it on the field and not BGP......

^^ Sounds like the T faithful are happy to be 1 - 3... Rest assured there are many ways to prepare for the district and playoffs, however, I don't think the objective on Shelbyville Road was to be 1 - 3 at this point. You can pour sugar on it, but it don't fly on the St. X thread. You can go to a Trinity thread and tell the world how great you are and how well prepared the rocks are.... but at this point, I'd have to say that the T program is down this year and struggling. That does not mean that X will beat T on Oct. 4, just that the Rocks are a little different with out the superstars they have had the last 3 - 4 years....

^ I doubt that the Fairdale's and the Seneca's are building a lot of character and team comradrie with their recent losses.

Points off of turnovers is a must for the Tigers in this one!!!! Special teams have to be Special. . .

It beats loosing and adding another big L to your resume!!! At 3 - 1, Tigers have a big test this week, next week and three weeks from now. Male and Manual looking tough!!! We had better start seeing some offense and the defense needs to pick it up as well. Time will tell. Not made any Dec. reservations just yet!!!!

I've got a big case of wishfull thinking!!!! Looking for the Tigers to pull is one out!!! Looking for coaching staff to add some energy into this team and get them playing with some emotion. If the Tigers truly think they can win, then they will. Hopefully the coaches and the players put behind them the slow start to this season. This is a HUGE game for the Tigers and no reason to come out sleeping on this one. I say X established the run game and does it with 2 or three running backs, throws in some passing in 2nd half to win this one, 24 - 21. Wishfull thinking, Id like to think not.....! Go Tigers!!!

^ While the Fairdale Bulldogs may be out matched this evening, a big W for the Tigers gives everyone a chance to play, Team gains confidence, coaches gain confidence. While short of a feather in the cap, it is what this X team needs to start rolling....
