  1. The "Death Valley at night" talk is already so old, and to be honest one of my sports pet peeves in general. Clemson (and all other really good teams) win at home because they are better than the other team. Sure it doesn't hurt to be in front of friendly crowds, but the crowd doesn't decide the game.

Good teams win regardless of the atmosphere. If Clemson beats Louisville, it will be because they are a better team.

Ask any offensive player on any major college football team if they would rather play at home or if they would want to play at Tennessee, LSU, Clemson where you cannot hear a thing on the field especially at night and they would tell you that there definitely is a home field advantage.

  2. I disagree with you on this one. I think home field is a major advantage, especially in college football.

I totally agree with you on this. If you ever played major college football you would know that playing at home is definitely an advantage. I would bet that the Ville would rather be at home for this game instead of Death Valley especially at night.

  3. We play in the big boy division. It's a little harder to win state titles when you're in with the heavy weights. How did you do against St. X?

Hey, I have no Dog in the fight. My kid played in the Bigboy 6A division and not for Highlands. The big boy division is in Louisville. The minor league of 6 A is in NKY. I really don't like Highlands but I give them a ton of respect for what they have accomplished over the years.

  4. If you're talking about football you're correct. But if you're referring to all athletics you're ignorant.

When I read the post I knew they were only talking about Scott's football history and not about their other sports programs. I'm sure that you did too. Plus the post was in the High School football thread. I think the comment that you made was pretty ignorant.

  5. Seeing how it took SK 50 years to equal what Cooper did in just their first 6 years, who exactly are the idiots?

I was being sarcastic. I'm am talking about platooning which SK has the personnel to do. Conner and Cooper cannot do it as much at this time. Some posters think just because they are 6A that they should. I simply meant that if Trosper and Borchers had the overall talent that they could platoon. They know what type of personel they have.

  6. Take your ball...

RCC, not taking a ball anywhere. You may know a lot about high school girls basketball, but you know nothing about Conner and Cooper football. They may have a larger enrollment but they simply do not have enough horses to platoon. Hopefully down the road it can happen but as of now there is no way. Whole different ball game developing ready to play football players than basketball. By the way, just wondering how many downs of football have you played.

  7. Ya because Boone Co has built what two high schools in the past 30 years? Are you saying it takes 15 years to get the numbers to building a winning program? Or are you just looking for excuses?

Not looking for excuses. Don't have a dog in the fight. That is the reality of the situation.

  8. SK is the only NKY 6A school that has the numbers and overall depth to be able to platoon which gives them the edge over the other schools. Ryle is getting there but Conner and Cooper cant without a significant drop off in talent. Don't know if they will ever get there because as the population grows in Boone County they will just build another high school.
