Maybe some people have better things to do tonight instead of making predictions on next weeks game at 12:50 am

Cooper wins big

The "Death Valley at night" talk is already so old, and to be honest one of my sports pet peeves in general. Clemson (and all other really good teams) win at home because they are better than the other team. Sure it doesn't hurt to be in front of friendly crowds, but the crowd doesn't decide the game.
Good teams win regardless of the atmosphere. If Clemson beats Louisville, it will be because they are a better team.
Ask any offensive player on any major college football team if they would rather play at home or if they would want to play at Tennessee, LSU, Clemson where you cannot hear a thing on the field especially at night and they would tell you that there definitely is a home field advantage.
-
I disagree with you on this one. I think home field is a major advantage, especially in college football.
I totally agree with you on this. If you ever played major college football you would know that playing at home is definitely an advantage. I would bet that the Ville would rather be at home for this game instead of Death Valley especially at night.

Looks like their best shot ever to get out of that incredibly tough district.
Tre King & Kyle Rode will be tough!
Do they have a PG that can break down their tough district opponents off the dribble.
They'll go as far as their ball handling can take them.
Tre King has re-classified and is attending Hargrave Military Academy.

We play in the big boy division. It's a little harder to win state titles when you're in with the heavy weights. How did you do against St. X?
Hey, I have no Dog in the fight. My kid played in the Bigboy 6A division and not for Highlands. The big boy division is in Louisville. The minor league of 6 A is in NKY. I really don't like Highlands but I give them a ton of respect for what they have accomplished over the years.
-
SK kind of reminds me of the past bird teams except for the state titles.
State titles that SK will never get or ever have the football tradition of Highlands.
-
Congrats to the Cougars!!!!!
They have a lot of skilled position athletes that can cause big problems for opponents this year. And unlike numerous years the D has been pretty solid also.
-
I don't think beating Highlands this year will be a real shocker to anyone
-
If you're talking about football you're correct. But if you're referring to all athletics you're ignorant.
When I read the post I knew they were only talking about Scott's football history and not about their other sports programs. I'm sure that you did too. Plus the post was in the High School football thread. I think the comment that you made was pretty ignorant.

And Elam will be 30 pounds slimmer too.....Yeah Right!!!
-
The chances of UK going to a bowl is about as good as Matt Elam trying to lose 30 pounds in the off season so he can take more than two steps in a game before losing his breath.
-
Congrats Jared!!!! LWC has needed for a long time a kicker that can boom kickoffs for touch backs.
-
Does UK have a QB commitment for next year yet?
They could have Tom Brady signed for next year and it wouldn't matter with this offensive line. Remember what happened to David Klingler for the Bengals. That is Drew when they play SEC schools. KLINGLERIZED
-
From what I saw from Scott, they are gonna have a lot of wounded warriors on the sideline this year. Just not a lot of players or enough talent this year. Hoping for the best for them this year.
-
Tom Brady couldn't even be an efficient QB with this offensive line. I feel sorry for Drew. Can't be a good QB if you never feel protected at any time. He should have went to South Carolina.

Seeing how it took SK 50 years to equal what Cooper did in just their first 6 years, who exactly are the idiots?
I was being sarcastic. I'm am talking about platooning which SK has the personnel to do. Conner and Cooper cannot do it as much at this time. Some posters think just because they are 6A that they should. I simply meant that if Trosper and Borchers had the overall talent that they could platoon. They know what type of personel they have.
-
Take your ball...
RCC, not taking a ball anywhere. You may know a lot about high school girls basketball, but you know nothing about Conner and Cooper football. They may have a larger enrollment but they simply do not have enough horses to platoon. Hopefully down the road it can happen but as of now there is no way. Whole different ball game developing ready to play football players than basketball. By the way, just wondering how many downs of football have you played.
-
Not what anyone is saying. I'm saying that the numbers do not support your contention. Maybe they just don't have enough talent to platoon.
That is exactly what I am saying. They do not have the overall talent to platoon. That is my opinion. I'm done with the argument.
-
Why the defensive act? It's a simple question, do they have the numbers?
Done arguing the point. That's my view and not going to be able to change opinions.
-
Doesn't Conner and Ryle have 1200 or so kids?
I guess Trosper and Borchers are idiots and don't know there talent and Marksberry is a genius.
-
Ya because Boone Co has built what two high schools in the past 30 years? Are you saying it takes 15 years to get the numbers to building a winning program? Or are you just looking for excuses?
Not looking for excuses. Don't have a dog in the fight. That is the reality of the situation.
-
SK is the only NKY 6A school that has the numbers and overall depth to be able to platoon which gives them the edge over the other schools. Ryle is getting there but Conner and Cooper cant without a significant drop off in talent. Don't know if they will ever get there because as the population grows in Boone County they will just build another high school.

Simon Kenton.....Because they beat X in a scrimmage.

Conner better start playing better than they have the last two weeks or they may not win another 6A game the rest of the season.
