This young man is a team player and works hard on and off the field. He is a solid two way starter and has been for 4 years. He has been NKY Enquirer 1st team all-Defensive Lineman Sophomore and Junior years. His Freshman year he was 2nd team. He has a great Family supporting him.

Look he's solid. He could be great. But if he was commanding that much attention, the LB's and 5 technique would have been free. You can't triple team a nose and not get outnumbered elsewhere, unless your others players just can't play. Also, In that blocking scheme, you can't double the nose on the wedge play against an odd front. The guard chips the nose, and moves to the LB. If you double or triple the nose, the LB's are free to make the tackle, especially if they read the guard blocking down. You ask what would constitute a good game?? If he was manhandling everybody, Scott wouldn't have had over 200 yards rushing. He would have made more than a handful of tackles, and made at least a few in the backfield. He was not a factor in this game, sorry. And once again, he failed to even come off the ball a few times each series, which is what he has done since youth football. He simply takes too many plays off while on the field, not even coming hard off the snap, to really impact games.

You say you have been following this child since peewee. you also have been criticizing him since peewee. I can go way back an show you have more negative things to say about him than any other person on BGP. Do you have a child that plays and do other people flat out try to destroy him? I can`t believe members of BGP go along with you like it is a joke. I don`t know what your motive is behind you constant jabs but you would think it would stop eventually. I promise other coaches around NKY do not feel the same way you do or he would not make the Allstar teams yearly. I want thank the adults who are positive and supportive.

Newport has a few athletic play makers on defense and Breandon Johnson #74 won`t be moved. He is surrounded by teammates who want to win. they are all in!!

Interesting matchup. Newport has some players - RB Joseph, WR/DB Burton, QB Price, Johnson on the line, a couple more good ones. Newport has played a tougher schedule. Scott blasted Newport last year so the Wildcats are surely thinking pay back time. I see this as a close, hard fought battle.
