Hmmm...Then why haven't they won all their games against 10th region opponents so far? I see a loss to Scott, Brossart, 2 to Bracken...

I'm guessing you are a Bracken County Fan. Scott was the first game of the year. Brossart is a good team. That's like saying UK can't win the SEC because they have losses to LSU, Auburn and Tennessee.

I don't know how someone can rank Walton Verona over many teams on this list. Nothing against the school or the program, I know many people from there, but their athletics have plummeted the past 3 or 4 years. As for Campbell County, I think they are one of the best teams in the area with Cov Cath and Holmes. Should be a fun year and I am ready to see some action on the court.

I see SK winning the district. They lost a few good players but also return a core. Walton is having a down year in all of their sports, baseball will be a down as well. They graduated a lot. Young team, look for the next couple years to be on the up side.

What needs to change for PC to get back to where they had been the last several years?

Just because a kid is a 7th grader shouldn't mean anything. If he has more talent than an upper classmen then let him on the team? Sports are about competitiveness, not being on a team because your mom and dad sell hot dogs for the team. High school sports are too political anymore. Glad to hear there is a coach still running a program the way it should be. No disrespect to any coach out there that does give in to the peer pressure and politics, but maybe take note...

No disrepect intended However, .....during the 6 games, you have played teams that have reported records of 21-65-1.......and with the games not reported, it is actually worse than that.

 

not one team is over .500.......closest is 10-13. Others "reported" are 1-13 (played twice), 1-9, 3-16-1, 6-14....next on the schedule is 5-9.

 

So good luck, keep it going in the right direction, but be careful in bringing attention and what could be seen as boasting......

Like you said a streak is good at anytime. Especially for a confidence boost going into the post season.

Looking at their schedule they play a tough last two weeks. GRC, Scott, Campbell, Bourbon, Mason and Lewis.

In the 10th Region this year there are only 3 teams above .500. Montgomery, Bourbon and Harrison.

What is the status of Brendan Wells? I heard he had a knee injury?

Pendleton wins their 5th straight tonight. Picking a good time to get hot.

Pendleton locks up the 2 seed in the district with their second win over Nicholas. Josh Brown pitched all 7 giving up 0 ER. Can Pendleton get a third win in the district tournament?

Close game through 4. Harrison scores 5 runs off of 2 HR. Pendleton went with a unique line-up, changing pitchers every inning. Take away two hits and this game could go either way.

Scott will be the best team in the 10th. Harrison has a strong offense and two great pitchers but the defense struggles

Daugherty did not pitch terrible. Was pulled after the second. Heard they have a big game saturday. His little brother is only a freshman. He will be tough. Great glove. Good pitcher in the making.

Disagree. Nicholas lost a lot of talent.

From what i saw last season, low 80's, good control, good curve. Heard he was 7-2 including a 9 inning win at Pulaski. He beat nicholas in the regular season but didn't start on the mound in disticts. He played for bluegrass.

The problem always comes about that it is a one game scenario........Pitching depth in high school is trumped by the one stud when it comes to winning the first district game to qualify for regional play..........

I believe that the pitching match up will be good between Wagner and Daugherty.

Who are the top 10 pitchers in the region?

Nicholas does have a good pitcher in Wagner but Pendletons pitching staff looksdecent this year
