Absolute dominance. Unseld is a legit shooter, very, very skilled.

Looking like WOFO is lining up to play Warren Central in the Semis....
Would be a GREAT game.
-
I got Newport in this one. Guard play matches up, but Newport has the more skilled posts.
-
WOFO is a sleeper imo. Team with the athleticism and defense to win it all. Not to mention Jasper Johnson...

How do you develop talent when you have zero to develop? How did UK lose to St.Peters, things happen.
There is always room to develop, and that supporting cast has not developed since 8th grade. Even schools like Carroll County are progressing and getting better as the year goes on, with limited talent.

Come on now, Moore wasn't a stud for 6 years. The kid never, never had a strong supporting cast.
I understand that, but the kid has been a stud since he was a sophomore. If I am not wrong, he had a 50 point game in the District tournament as a Sophomore. And keep in mind the 31st District has been weak as of lately. But, losing to Gallatin in the District his senior year? As a coach, how do you let that happen?
Talking of the supporting cast, you are right. The supporting cast has never been great. But as a coach, Duvall has had years to develop some sort of supporting cast, and failed to do so.
Do not take this as downplaying the Moore. Teagan Moore might be the best player that has ever played in the 31st. I am a big fan of his, and hope he does well at the collegiate level.

Is Duvall a good coach? Hard to say. Is Roger Harden a good coach? Owen County and Carroll County are almost exactly the same in enrollment. Main difference is lightning remarkably struck twice in short order for OC in Carson Williams and Teagan Moore. A kid that good obviously makes a difference - hence OC won 24 games and Carroll County won 7 this year. A kid like Moore makes OC a lot better than CC - but that doesn’t mean OC can or should beat the best teams in the region. I saw the Owen County v Woodford County game, and I’m not sure what the OC coach could have done differently. OC was up big in that game, and while that was due in part to their play, it was much more due to Woodford’s casual indifferent play. Once Woodford cranked up the defensive intensity, it was like watching a good varsity team play a freshman team, and the outcome was pretty easy to see coming. Duvall might be good, mediocre or bad. It’s hard to say.
Only 1 district championship in 6 years of Teagan Moore? Losing to GC in the District Finals this year?

And more 🤷🏻♀️
Not going to go too deep into this, just seems a bit odd....

Assuming Perry breaks the record in the Sweet 16 vs Newport, and remains healthy all next year, he could create a record that may not be broken for a LONG TIME. I feel like it is not talked about enough that he still is a Junior.

No I don’t even have a kid. Just hate that people credit him for being a good coach when he’s really not.
Why do you think he is such a terrible coach? Not saying I disagree, just curious.

I was thinking the exact same thing. I agree that Duvall could have done a better job, but the reaction seemed harsh.
Agreed. I am also not a huge fan of Coach D, but this guy has to have some personal vendetta against him....

After watching the games at Henry County I’m more convinced than ever that this may have been the biggest upset in the state this season.
Has to be... Somehow the Cats managed to beat the team who almost beat the Region Champs in New Castle.

Great performance for the yellow jackets. Athletes really took over in this one...

SK´s speed gave them fits.

Athletes don’t always win championships… Like I said earlier Gaither is the best coach in the 8th. You don’t think he’s seen more athletic and more smothering defenses before? They’ve lost twice already so you know he’s got something up his sleeve…
Well, they have won 2 straight against your coach of the year... With those athletes, and the best player in the region.

Collins FTW! Have the best Coach in the 8th by far. The way he handled SK’s tough 2-3 tonight proves he can tackle and figure just about everything out to get the looks for the guys. Now Woodford obviously isn’t SK but I think Dines is a lot tougher to go against than McCrear imo. Now I will say Collins will have a tough time with Jasper Johnson. I was surprised with how well WC held out against North tonight. I thought they were going to lose when NO got it to 10 but they held out. We are in for a good game in the chip but I don’t see Collins losing 3 in a row to WC.
Dynes*
I do not see Gaither getting his guys good looks with WC smothering defense. Also, the fact they will be able to out-athlete them.
-
The Rematch!
I have got Woodford coming out of the 8th tomorrow night. I believe their athleticism has given Collins fits, as Collins is usually the team out-athleting teams they play. Especially with Jasper Johnson performing well, at the right time.
However, if the Yellow Jackets do not come out to play, which often happens, Collins could run them out of the gym. Considering Gaither always has a great gameplan, and his players are prepared.

What a game from Kenyon Goodin! I watched the entire game. Although, I may have missed a couple possessions here and there. But 23-25 points, and if I am not wrong, he did not miss a single FG Attempt all night.....
Dynes has impressed me with how far he has come. He has grown dramatically since last year, and is so much more of a scoring option.
How about the rematch of the 30th District Finals???
