Thanks JOAT and Clyde! Seth was pretty excited just to make the All Academican District team. Didn't actually think he would make the actual All-American Team. He was especially excited to see some of the other names on the team....Christian McCaffrey (Stanford), Sam Hubbard (Ohio State), Drue Tranquill (Notre Dame) among all the others, etc. Pretty cool!

JOAT- Your boy had a nice freshman season! Congrats to you/him as well!!

Hergott is a good athlete and a good kid but I think its time to call him playing QB. Put him at TE and put Gosney at QB to get more talent to the receiving core and take away some of the picks. I think Hergott is the more the kind of athlete to say go run there and catch the ball.... not the kind of athelet for: "if he does this do this, but if this is there then then do this, and if they come from here run the ball." I think Gosney is a little better at decision making. I think making that change couldnt make anything worse? might as well try it.... take the weight of the world off hergott too.

I could be wrong, but appears to me that Hergott is throwing the ball from the "slot", side armed. This will make the ball rise resulting in him missing his targets. Some short, mid-level patterns might be a good option as well. Everything seems to be a screen or home run. He is staring down his receivers as well. Needs to look off the defense more often. My opinion, and my opinion only, is that he has some mechanical work to do. Hergott is the QB. He should remain the QB. He is a raw talent that needs some work. Measurables are there. Needs to refine his skills. Will improve at the next level, with proper coaching, for sure.

Ok, back to the game. So it looks like the HHS girls played very well, especially on defense, losing only 1-0. Especially if compared to the last coach's record against Sacred Heart, 0-2, by a combined score of 10-0, it would seem like a vast improvement.

I suppose- If packing it in on D (pretty much a minimum of 6 back the entire match, even when no pressure), subbing on pretty much every stoppage to disrupt flow, not attempting to mount an offensive attack is getting them ready then, yep, you got that right. Terrible game to watch. Sacred Heart pretty much played keep away the entire match. Coaching staff played it safe. Would have gotten ugly had HHS extended.

Games times are JV at 6:00 and Varsity at 7:30!

Gotcha. Thanks for pointing that out. No need to take shots. Absent? No. I no longer have a son on the team. Actually been a couple of years now....I do try to keep up on the team. I stand by my statement however. I do not recall any HHS fan making derogatory comments about Pulaski. I believe Pulaski has a very realistic shot at the title this year. A little luck, stay away from injuries, get better on defense and who knows. Good luck though.

Nope heard all week from some HHS fans about how bad Pulaski was... Just stating they obviously are better than those fans gave them credit for.

First, you need a hudl account, right? Then if you have a hudl account, you need to be granted access to the film, right? You can't go on hudl and watch film on any team you want, right?

Correct. It is up to the teams to set it up correctly however. Some teams put the film out there for all to see.

So I am assuming that last weeks game was not broadcast? I had heard they were having some technical issues.

It was on 1530 AM locally. Not their online stream though.

Nothing worked last week against Cooper, I had to have my brother text me updates. I would pay "good" money if someone were to just run a camera from up above the press box and video the game with only the announcer over the sound system as audio. there has to be some h.s. kid with the tech savy to do this that needs a lil cash.

 

With all of the money and av equipment that highlands has im really surprised they don't broadcast every game online
