  1. The Wildcats are a team of 13 year olds and not 12 year olds, but it would still be a good experience for both teams I am sure. Better get that game set up quick as football season is right around the corner and most of them are football players as well.

Congrats to the Wildcats on a good season and second Knothole title in the last three years.

I coach the 10 yr old all stars but I could get in contact with the 12 yr old coach if someone could forward on the information on the wildcats. Of if anyone knows of any 10 yr old tournaments around?

  2. Well there is a Cal Ripken League in Lexington that consists of 3 different divisional areas. North, South, and Southeast. Each are has about 10 teams which consist of players ages 9-12 and evenly balanced. After the season each respective age group forms an all star team from the teams in their area. So the best 12 year olds in Southeast Lexington are 1 team, and the same goes for South Lexington as well as North Lexington. Then who ever wins the districts out of these 3 teams (pool play) moves onto state then regionals, then the world series in the Pittsburgh area. If you know anyone on that Wildcats team that would be interested, I know the contacts from the Southeast team and maybe we could work something out. Maybe some type of tournament in the northern kentucky area or down in Lexington.

  3. UK#1 fan, name the first three Super Bowl MVPs and what college they attended. Six Bama QBs have won a Super Bowl can you name them?

Which QB after a win changed the whole NFL system we have today?

Name the first QB to throw for 4,000 yards, and it was a 14 game season.

Name the QB who has never lost a High schol game and college?

I bet his doesn't respond, so any body can play.

Just a matter of time before you jumped in and put this chaos to rest haha

  4. This all makes me wonder why SK's back up QB is not being recruited? DJ Rabe got plenty of playing time at TE/LB and played QB during all of the blow out games last year Rabe is 6'5 and he also played Forward for the basketball team.

Your losing a lot of credibility as a poster and your posts are slowly getting to the level of absurdity.

  5. His exposure whether justified or not will be a great benefit for all Northern Kentucky football players. I would assume many schools will be watching him play, which will provide a great opportunity for other players to be seen.

Great point! This could propel many other players recruitment that would have otherwise not received any attention for college coaches.

  6. Highlands better be ready for SK tomorrow![/QUOTE]

Can we count on an unbiased report from you, as to just how fast the really, really fast SK players are? Oh, and of course, the number of perfectly thrown passes and spectacular catches made by the Pioneers? You know, the Birds fans are likely to exaggerate Highlands' feats tomorrow, so we will need your insights to set the record straight!

    Classic

  7. If this kid was playing at Highlands and Towles was at Dixie all of you highlands people would be all over this kid just like you are with Towles. Everyone on here knows the outcome of that game already Highlands win big. Don't take things away from this kid because he doesn't play at Highlands.

What are we taking away from him? And all over Towles? I dont see thread all over Bluegrasspreps titled anything with Towles. We have merely stated the facts, Towles had an outstanding sophomore year and we are looking for him to lead us to another state championship. Nothing more nothing less.

  8. Your words, not mine. I am honestly only asking a rules question as I am not sure what the college transfer rules are for students who haven't used up any eligibility.

I'm not throwing stones at anyone, and I'm not implying anything. I wish young Mr Ferguson the very best of luck at his new college both on and off the court.

As do I, I hope he has a very successful career at Alderson.

  9. Child, please! As long as the Birds win, the haters will never shut their mouths. And they'll REALLY be chirping when (and if) they lose! As a graduate and religious fan, one to another, please get involved with the programs...be it academic, sports, band, etc...they ALL need our support. (that is, assuming you've not already) 20n10+12 :ylsuper:

Thats true! 20n10+12! I think someone should make a t shirt with this slogan on the front and on the back say = The Highlands Bluebirds!

  10. Who said that he was not good enough to play in Ft. Thomas? He would be welcomed with open arms. No doubt this kid is a Division I talent if for no other reason than he has the physique that college coaches are looking for. The fact that he is a holdback makes him look even more attractive to big time college coaches. I still believe that he will not play QB in college, but will definitely play somewhere based upon his athletic ability.

Im going to go out on a limb here and assume flotsam was talking about playing the quarterback position. Yes he would be welcomed with open arms, to play tight end or as a defensive end. Highlands is set at the quarterback position.

  11. REALLY! Have you been around the HHS program(s)? The $$ well runs only so deep...and it is CONSTANTLY being pulled from in MANY directions. The "let's just have a fundraiser" solution is just about tapped out. Better to have the Herbie...or some other promoter...bring the game local and stimulate our economy rather than give it away to another locale. And although Bluebird Nation travels well...they would be dominated by a crowd from a school such as 6A Texas (et.al.) But hey, cut to the chase, you just want to see someone...anyone...beat Highlands.

Actually not the case because Im a Highlands graduate and follow them religiously. How they play a big time program isnt as important as getting to play them in itself. I just want Highlands to beat one of these powerhouses so all the haters will finally shut their mouths.

  12. You've GOT to be kidding! I remember someone saying that HHS loses money going to State!

Dont know where you heard that but thats not true. And if the school couldnt afford it then I am positive fundraisers would be placed in order for the trip to happen. Maybe meet a team from Florida and play in Tennessee somewhere or Georgia, they could bus there. And that is the one thing you pulled out of my entire post? I mean really?
