Congrats to Panthers and the Birds for geat night of High School football.My birds did not win but now I can feel pretty good about saying they are number two in the Commonwealth after this showing.......

Hope the Birds can get emotionally up after last week ? IMO, This has to be one of Ryles biggest games in their history especially considering the statement with a win that they were the only team to hand the birds 2 defeats in their last 53 games . I like the Birds by a score without PT.3-4 TDS with....

Welcome to the GCL honey...that's they way they play. They hit hard, they hit late and if you are in their house, you better either man-up or pack up, it's that simple.

 

Besides, the hit was clean. #92 clearly launched himself as Towles was still in the grasp of the defender who eventually tackled him. I am sorry your precious Bluebird got dinged up a little but I wouldn't be worried too much. He seemed fine laughing and joking with Coach Mueller at halftime.

We have to excuse CF on this one. Considering the time of this post,The only Honey I see here is American Honey or better yet a paper wrapped 40.This thread is associated with an injury to a player not how one of the biggest public schools in the State of Ohio is annually humiliated by the GCL.

Great atmosphere for High School Football .This game will be decided by the biggest line in the GCL if not Ohio come third and fourth quarters.

Looks like the Birds are getting primed for the BIGGEST GAME IN THE HISTORY!

Question: why will the Elder scouts only be relying on Boyle County and CovCath tapes? Do teams only exchange two game tapes? Also, this year's Highlands-Dixie Heights game was video webcasted over the internet... would that not provide another game tape for Elder?

They were the only two games the ones were on the field the whole game where true weaknesses were exposed with skilled athletes.Elder would not waste their time on any others considering their Freshman squad would beat them all.Lets face it,different level football here and after personally watching the now number 5 in the nation Moeller play them,Elder is not as bad as that score indicated . Don't know alot about the T game but I would say for sure that the Birds rank as the moral booster on their brutal schedule.

IMO,A way to keep Highlands starters on the field is a run only offense.Three positive things will happen:1.Highlands may have to punt ( A check up on different players executions in especially critical game situations).2.Get the starting offensive and defensive line personel some needed endurance in place. Thirdly,The Elder scouts will have to rely solely on the Boyle and CovCath tapes as constructive tools for their defensive strategies against Patrick and Company.28-6 for four quarters of starters or 52-6 if they maintain current strategies which will be the ones for the first half in 1 hour match up.

At the end of the day the kids are the ones who will be hurt the worse.In there minds they have to be thinking who will be at the helm next year and thereafter. Dixie does not lack athletes,facilities,enrollment and fan support .IMO,The program is lacking buy in and the Head Coach and staff have failed that aspect.Just watching discipline level issues on the prior BGP posts is telling me something about the current leadership .Current and future players and parents have their challenges ahead of them.

I wonder if this call would have been made if Dixies point after attempt would have been sucessful against Highlands Freshman the other night and ended up a win for the Colonels ? When was the call made?Thursday at 8 a.m.?

Sounds like X has special group of kids coming up.

I will pick the Birds in this match up.IMO,Highlands has alot of skilled level position support and it will be interesting to see if the Colonels can adjust and bottom line just keep up? Should be a great game in Park Hills but could easily be a romp for the Birds or 2 point win for Colonels. Bottom Line, Its is CovCath versus Highlands.

Dixie gets up two scores quick but the Highlands platoon system rules mid second quarter on.Is this game being televised since its on Thursday?

My choice goes to one of the teams Highlands could possibly play twice during the same season.IMO, Cov Cath has been there before and always seems to play at that next level when it comes to play off time.
