An undefeated Pburg team will win at Desales ; this one will be a nail-biter (easily will be the best of the bunch). We will have to wait until Saturday morning to see who was right.
-
Thoughts and predictions? I'll go with Pburg 35-34.
-
1. Pburg
2. Ft Campbell
3. Desales
4. Monroe Co.
-
Nonetheless; Justice (Shelby Valley) was 1st team All-State last yr. at the PG spot.
-
Shane Hall definitely has to be ranked; This kid is a future D1 player with continued hard work. The kid is unbelievable in the open court and can finish at the rim (either hand dunking) like a highly skilled D1 college player and he is only in the 8th grade.
-
And his play on the court will definitely be good enough to get it! He was the best PG in the state last yr. and will definitely improve off of that. Remember he was AP 1st team All-State last yr.
-
If u don't think politics has anything to do with it you are definitely kidding yourself, wait and see!!!! He has all the support in the mountains and enough elsewhere to win it.
-
Write it down; Justice will win it. Signing with Louisville definitely put him over the hump, He will get all the votes from the mountain regions and (after this) enough from out of the Louisville and Central Ky. area to put him over the hump!

I am from the 15th Region and had a chance to work with him at UK during Calipari's camp, this guy is a class act. I wish him the very best, Corey keep your head up from your opposing coach in the 15 yr old bracket during camp this summer.

This is the post I am referring to (Kansas St. guy)
Guys first off I will admit Im a SV homer so take it for what its worth. Elijah would be about 5'10. He finished the season last year at over 40 % from the 3line and has a lost art for a lot of high school kids the mid range jumper. I dont think anyone can question his ball handling skills. One day this summer the kid is in the gym by himself when I saw him he was already in a thick sweat. He proceeded to shoot jumpers for the next 2 hours. I honestly wouldnt guess how many he put up that day. And from what Ive been told if he wasnt traveling and playing this was his routine. Last year SV played Walton GA. They had Glen Rice Jr which everyone knew. They also had A kid by the name of Harrow who had committed to NC state. I know at one point this summer Rivals had him as a 4 star and a top 10 PG. Elijah was the best player on the floor THAT NIGHT and it wasnt close. Elijah picked his pocket at midcourt in the second half the crowd went crazy and the Harrow kid was done. Im not going to set false expectations about where he should or could go I just hope he reaches his maximum opportunity. If a bigger school takes a chance he could be one of those kids who come out of nowhere to have nice careers. Anyway way just glad to see our little hometown guy from Dorton KY get a little recognition. Also Kansas State has an assistant from eastern Ky and have heard they are asking around about him. -
Who is the assistant coach from Kansas St. thats from Eastern Ky.

Josh Whitaker of Hazard last yr.
-
I called a friend up at Shelby Valley and asked did Whitaker enroll, he hasn't returned my call yet. Anyone know where Whitaker enrolled?
-
Do they have anyone returning?
-
Hager was an exceptional athlete and very smart during his days, I would expect that to translate over to his program.
-
I'll do some detective work and see what I can find:thumb:
Did your detective work pay off, I would like to see the new facilities as well.
-
He will be playing 2 guard, I'm told from a friend of one of the assistant coaches he will be there and will fit in , in the 2 guard position. Starting 5 would probably be Justice, Whitaker, Hatfield, Taylor and Tyler Newsome. With Cody Varney (excellent player) coming off the bench and another player who was on team last year (name slips my mind right now) and contributing. They say he has been impressive in summer and can help the team out this year. Having a 7 man rotation.
-
I've heard from a very reliable source , Skaggs may be transferring to another school in the 15th region. Anyone heard this, if so the school I heard would now have a chance to compete with Valley.
-
Thanks Midnight Rider for the good inside info.
-
I would put Shelby Valley up there as well, I hear Josh Whitaker will definitely end up there when school starts. Anyone else heard this.
-
Does Brad Short Coach of ACMS ever have a chance of returning to alma mater, he's put together a few good years in middle school. Do you think this matters or need to be experienced high school coach.
-
How may returning starters do they have, and players who played key minutes off the bench. I think they will be preseason 2 or 3 in the 15th.
-
My thoughts and prayers to their family.
