Jackson is facing the same with Curtis and T.O. is so much more consistent. T.O. will get his touches no matter what, he will make sure of that.

This is a must score inning for the Sox. No runs means no more series. Top of the order.

Uh, why wouldn't you do that? Those 2 WR's combined aren't as good as T.O. And if you start 3 WR's, T.O., Calvin, Fitz...

It's far from Ortiz's fault that the Red Sox are behind in this series. How about the pitching. They should have booed Dice-K after giving up back-2-back homeruns.

 

Boo Becket for losing, I mean boo the rest of the offense to. No reason whatsoever to boo Ortiz and single him out.

Considering that he has carried them through postseasons before, it is easy for him to be singled out as the scapegoat and the player that gets booed. The fans aren't just going to boo the whole offense. They have to pick someone. He can handle it and he knows it is his job as the leader of that offense to produce and he is simply not doing it this series whatsoever. Granted, you are right about the poor pitching.
