Big upset. Look for Henderson to be at BG out of the very tough 2nd. They are always very tough at Tournament time. This game was at Webster and it is always a tough game there for Henderson.
-
The difference in talent level between the 2 teams is big! Manual plays a lot of young players and that is a good thing, however they may be well advised to play your best more and bring some of his 9th graders along a little slower. Not critizing the coach because he does do a very good job, but young players have a tendency to play a little more out of control at times than the more mature kids he has. I believe it will be either Manual or Mercy in BG. Mercy is always very hard to beat at tournament time. Mercy also got a big win over Lou. Christian at Lou. Christian!

Good win for Wayne, if they stay healthy and get their best game together by tournament time, they could be a dark horse to be in BG!

I believe lauren has a lot of upside and a very bright future with work. Some fine tuning on her low post moves and some work on defendingthe low post and denying the post pass. Some competition against some other 6-3 or 6-4 major type players will really help her develope into a Major player. It will be interesting to see how much better she will be next year!

I look for them to suprise everyone and come out of the 12th, it is not going to be easy but don't be suprised if they end up in BG.
-
Some consider this an upset, I do not. North Hardin has 3 very good players in Jennifer Smiley, Brittany Bramblett and Rachaun Edwards, plus they were playing at home. All 3 of these players are drawing a lot of D-1 interest and they also have several very good players. On a neutral court I would give E-town the edge, however NHs 3 players all are very dangerous shooters and if they get on a roll, they could come out of the 5th very easily.

Ebony Rowe, most underrated player in Kentucky a natural 3 player now playing the 5 since their 6-2 post player went down. She is putting up about 20 a nite now and has very little help. A very good student 4.0 and rumor has it that she has a 30 on her ACT. U of K and others are showing a lot of interest.

Butler misses Tia Gibbs and Kara Pile big time those 2 kids just got the job done for them. They have some good young kids coming along look for them to make a run in the 6th next year.
-
Ohio County is a very good team and will come out of that 3rd region! They have 2 very good players in Maria Robinson, Murray Signee, and Arielle Keown. I know Henderson is rated #15 but I do not think that is an upset.
-
That is an awfully good showing against a team that should be playing a lot better. LCA has 3 major players on it and certainly are not playing like it? Franklin County as good as they are does not have that type talent. Wonder what the problem is with LCA?
-
The formula should be tweaked again. The problem is no one at the Courier wants to take the time to put any thought into it. Rowan County certainly should be rated in the top 5 if not #1. They will as you say will have the opportunity to prove where they should be later in the season. I think overall the formula is o.k. it just needs some attention to make it a lot better.

Anytime kids and parents are on the college campus the college coaches can initiate talks with them.
-
What was the box score for the kids? Who scored what and what about rebounds, anyone have that info?
-
Sorry Gunner, neither of those kids were what I would call Impact Players. I believe 1 is at Marshall a Mid-Major conference, not starting and very little playing time, the other is at Transy a D-3 no scholarship school not starting the last time I checked but an excellient academic school I believe. Both are very good players and I like them very much, good kids.

She is a very good coach but she hasn't had too many "mediocre" players at Shelby.
Coach Zimmerman is an outstanding coach and since she has been there has not had an impact player since taking over. She has taken good players put them together and has won with them. They will miss her!

LCA's Big 3 is dominate. Catholic is improving game by game.
When the 3 best players for Christian start playing together rather than for themselves, then they will be able to beat anyone. Lots of under current there not only among the players but also the parents.
-
Final.
Hey who did the scoring for Wayne County?
-
E-town leads the pack but the region is down a bit from last year.
Anyone know how the line on Smiley and Bramblett?
-
Hey Jesse, It looks like the Pittman kid is putting together a very good season. Did she guard the Hammonds kid?
-
Greenwood is just not very good. They have some talent but are very disorganized as a team. Look for a coaching change maybe there at the end of the year. Sometime it is a good thing for everyone to change directions.
-
Wonder how long the new coach is going to last?
-
Manual by a lot.
-
Who is their best player?
-
Male is one of the best coaching jobs in the state. Sometimes change is good. In this case it would be good for the players coming into this program if they had an energetic young man or woman that would work to develope the tremendous amount of talent that comes into that program year after year!

This to me was an upset Lou. Christian was at home and you would expect them to win there plus I believe the rating with them in the top 3 appears to be pretty accurate. I would not want to play Mercy at Tournament time no matter how much more talent I may have. It is going to be a in the 7th, I would not be suprised to see Mercy come out of the 7th.
