The Rockets do have some injured players right now, Jamie Todd and Dalton Dillingham. They will still handle Harrison County pretty easy for the third win in a row.

Rockcastle County needs to get back on track. They have lost two games in a row. They have also lost two games in a row to Lincoln County. They should have won the Knox Central game, but too late to cry over spilled milk. They have way too many turnovers, too many mental mistakes. They will not make the statement that they need to make, if they don't get their act together. They defiantly have the talent and the supportive coaching staff to win games.

This Lincoln County game is a must win for Rockcastle County. Rockcastle can win the rest of their regular season games, if they stop having all the unnecessary turnovers.

Kentucky quarterback Tim Couch will be at the Bell/Rock game friday night to do the coin toss! The Unite Bowl is working on a couple more Kentucky celebrities for the game also. Anyone who has a chance should make the trip to Mount Vernon for the game. Even the local churches are tailgating before the game with free food for everyone to help support Unite. Good seats will be filled early. Hope both teams will put on a good show, and everyone comes out of this one healthy.

The Bell County Bobcats will defiantly be thinking about the game as they make the long bus ride to Mount Vernon on friday night. Mount Vernon does not have any Hilton Hotels anywhere near the area. Only the "Hard Rock Cafe". The Bobcats may not want to eat their any time soon.

The Rock is a very intimidating place to play at. The stands are gonna be full for this one!!!

Big Blue surely you have more of a comment than that. The Rock may find that it has some rough edges to roll over, on friday night. remember, speed kills, you got to catchem before you can hitem.

Tradition says enough. Sorry Payton town, but speed is not a factor when your laying flat on your back! :lol:

Bell Co. could care less about Rockcastle, they will beat Rockcastle as bad as they want. I saw Rockcastle play Pulaski and heard about the Wayne co. game. Running in between the tackles will not work against Bell, and your QB puts way to much air under his passes to scare Dudley and Co. As for Madison Southern the Eagles should score some points because the last two teams Southern has faced are way better than the Rockets. Anderson Co. would beat Rockcastle, and Madison Central would have beat you guys by the same margin. Rockcastle is a heavy favorite, but the Eagles will make it and are tougher than you may think. Look at the Eagles schedule its harder than anybody else's schedule in the district.

Looks like same scene Rock will be 3-0 but I believe they won't finish 3-3 after those games this year. May only lose one or could win all three. Sounds like Coach Parkey isn't missing a beat having Coach Saylor still there is a great key to the program.

The Rocket coaches are doing an impressive job with these boys right now. They do have a new head coach, who is doing a great job. It is hard to take over after a great Larkey era, but I think that they have found the right man for the job. Parkey's offense is exciting with things mixed up a little different than the past.

Having Coach Saylor along for the ride is just icing on the cake.

I hope Pulaski can get healthy again. I believe that this score would have been a lot closer, if it hadn't been for all the injuries in their opener game against Rockcastle.

The Rockets will prevail once again this week. I will have to agree that playing at home is a big advantage for Rockcastle.

Rock will be fine.

Pulaski is fast becoming an "over-rated" team from the pre-season. Roughed up by Whitley in the final scrimmage and now this. Maroons have some work to do.

Maybe Pulaski isn't so much over-rated, as is the Rock is under-rated. As for scrimmages, I don't think that they account for anything.

Pulaski is a great football team, with some great players.

I wish both teams the best of luck in their on going season.

I love the Cats as much as anyone, but that does sound like a very serious medical condition, BBN. Might want to get that looked at!

It's a real serious condition......it's called "WILDCAT FEVER".

These will be two great games to watch. Southwestern should slide by Somerset. I quess 28-14.

As for the opening game, I hope the Rockets roll out of Somerset with a big win over the favored Maroons. This will be a highly anticipated game for Rocket fans. They have always been a highly respected football team and their not ready give it up yet.

I saw a short Boyle scrimmage and it looks as if the Rebel fans will have a lot to cheer about this season.

Hope Southern can pull this one out, but their numbers are down. Hopefully the new coach can turn things around and get the Eagles headed in the right direction.

Saw this one and for the scrimmages sake, Whitley was better. For a regular season game, I would have to go with Pulaski.

You can have the best coach in the nation, but that doesn't mean anything when you don't have the talent. And that type of post is exaclty the kind I would think to see from a fair weather fan.

As the talent scout you are, I would enjoy knowing that you will be watching these Kentucky boys play deep into the NCAA tournament. And believe me, I faired the weather quite nicely when the tornado flew over the Georgia Dome back at the SEC tournament. A fair weather fan, I'm not. When you scratch my skin, it only bleeds blue.

I as a lifetime Rockcastle County fan didn't take it the way you did. I would love nothing better than to win a state title for Rockcastle but like he stated, having low numbers isn't going to help things.

 

Having a lower number of players to choose from means that a lot of guys will have to go both wyas.....I'm fine with that BUT what if someone gets hurt and the position that they played was thin at talent? This holds true for any team that doesn't have a large selection to choose from.

 

As a Rockcastle County fan, I want nothing but the best for these guys and will support them no matter what other think about them. IF they have a "down" year, I'll still support them. If they have a great year, I'll still support them. I, as a Rocket, alum, will always be proud of every student-athlete, coach, student, teacher, counselor, custodian, and etc. because I kn0ow that everything ran with a level of class that every RCHS fan should be proud of.

I didn't take the "Merry Go Round" the way you did, I think it was just a fan having fun supporting their team. I, having been a longtime Rockcastle fan, know that they have had kids playing both ways many times. They may not always have the best talent or the best athletes, but they somehow come out with wins. I would also be suprised if Pulaski has their way with this Rockcastle team, as some are predicting. I think it will be a good game.
