  1. Sorry to bust your bubble but this isnt the ROCK that played the first time. We have actually improved and I would be willing to say that if Bell cant throw, we win. ROCK will shut out the run. I bet Bell dont have over 100 yards on the ground. Now with that said.

    Rock 22

    Bell 21:banana:

Evidently someone hasn't been following the Rock too close. Since the Pulaski Co. loss, they have been on a down hill slide. Rock's defense just isn't what it use to be. I am a big Rock fan, but the truth's the truth. The offense has been good enough to carry them in their wins. On the upswing, the playoff game was one of their best played games this season. Hope they make some positive changes and pull this one out. With a little fire in their eyes, the Rock boys might make a game of it.

    Good Luck Rock!

    Rock (on the surprise) 21

    Bell 14

  2. This is a "Big Game" for both teams. I agree that whoever wants this one the most, will prevail. This will be a good one to watch. One big play could be the difference maker. Should be for home field advantage in the first round of playoffs. Saylor will have his boys ready for the trip to Barbourville, no doubt!

    Rock 21

    Knox Central 14

  3. Bell County beat the Rock in every facet of the game. Bell and Boyle are the teams to beat in 4A. Hopefully the Rock will bounce back from injuries sustained in the game. QB Bishop bruised thigh and wide receiver Todd concussion in early part of game. Rock is looking for the number 2 position in the district at this point. GO ROCK!!!

  4. Even though I want to lean toward Bell winning this one easy, one has to remember that with the lose to Pulaski, the Rock has hair standing on their back. They have something to prove.

Before the lose to Pulaski they "needed" to beat Bell......now they almost "HAVE" to beat Bell.

The Rocket seniors were freshman when they Rock beat Bell the last time, this one would be a great way for them to finish their high school careers. This is defiantly an awesome rivalry which brings out the best in both teams.

    Good Luck Rock!

  5. Not only did Pulaski have 12 players on the field in the last play, they hit the Rocks WR with the ball still in the air. There was also a clip at the very beginning of the game, when Pulaski scored their first touchdown. It was very obvious to everyone in the stadium. Also, the refs were from Somerset, (which is in Pulaski Co. :sssh:)

IMO I think the Rock could beat this team in a rematch. I do have a lot of respect for Pulaski and I do think that they are a good football team. They are going to have a good season. The QB did a fine job!

What don't break you, will only make you stronger!!!

The Rock always has the strength to overcome adversity.

  6. They have four senior starters returning from last years district championship team. Todd, Bullens, Thacker, and Reynolds. Todd, Bullens, and Thacker play football. They were a big factor in last years success. It may start out slow because of football, but they should finish strong. Reynolds is also a very savy player. He loves to make the big pass! The sixth man from last years team, Lunsford, should return in a starting position. They should make some noise in the region this year.

  7. I will have to pull for North Laurel on this one. But, I am afraid that Corbin has the advantage for now.

With Chris Larkey at North Laurel, it won't be that way for long.

Corbin....enjoy it while you can, because I believe that it will be the other way around soon.

Believe me.....I will guarantee that he plans to win every game!!!

Coach Larkey is ROCK HARD :ylsuper:

  8. I disagree completely with this notion that one must be 18. Most of the people that come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ and accept him as their Lord and Savior do so prior to the age of 18. That is to say a greater percentage. Accepting Him is a personal decision and can only be made by the individual.

The bigger news here is that a number of boys now have a personal relationship with God and as a result have eternally secured their life with Jesus Christ! If I had a 16 year old unsaved son or daughter and THEY DECIDED of their own free will to accept Him as Savior I would be doing back flips as soon as they came through the door and told me about it! Sounds to me like its' time to celebrate.

Since they had permission I wouldn't care if they got there and back by wagon train if neccessary. Sometimes the people are Baptized immediately upon profession of faith like this, I will say that the norm these days seems to be to do it in a week or so to give family time to plan and attend.

Hats off to you Coach, you are fulfilling the great commission!

I couldn't agree more. Hats off to you!!!:dancingpa

  9. I've seen Rockcastle play, they seem to be too much for my Pats. LC improved a lot from week one to two, however they haven't played anyone as good as Rockcastle County in either game.

This isn't a great Rock team, IMO, but they should have enough to take care of the Pats. Looking foward to the trip to Mt. Vernon. Usually a good atmosphere for football.

Don't count your chickens before they hatch, about this Rock team not being great. Let's wait for four or five games to get under their belt and then comment on their greatness. Their are some whispers that this team may be underrated and will make a big run in 4A football this year. I do agree that they will have enough to take care of Lincoln. Mount Vernon is defiantly a good atmosphere for football....

Give us your opinion after the game Friday Night....and again in a few weeks!

  10. Boyle may be the team to beat in 4A, but it looks as if the Rock has demanded a little more respect. The four big belly plays up the middle that Rees ran made the score look a little worse than it should have been. As for anyone thinking (in favor of Boyle) that the score did not reflect the game, wasn't there. Rock gave Boyle a better game than predicted. All three Rock touchdowns were scored on Boyle's starting defense. Boyle is a great team no doubt. As a Rock fan I am just proud of the team that played last night.

Go Rock..... Fans have a lot to look forward to this season:ylsuper:

  11. The Rock will have their hands full come Saturday. Let's hope that they have whatever it takes to get this one rolling. This will defiantely be a measuring stick as to prove that they are still a mountain power. Boyle County is probably the team to beat in 4A this season. Fan Power could be a big plus for the Rockets, hope everyone shows up for this one.

  12. This is a fantastic breakdown. My only difference would be Danville as a cinderella team, if they can get past Garrard County. That Danville vs. Garrard matchup will be a classic. The winner could win the 12th. :thumb:

I'll have to agree, great breakdown of the region.

I think that this region is wide open, but I'll also agree that Lincoln will pull out the victory.

I like the comment about Rockcastle, I'm a fan. I wish them the best of luck.

  13. Rockcastle defiantly has one of the best coaches in the state of Kentucky. That is why they are good each and every year and in years to come. They should beat Wayne County on their home court tomorrow night. As for the Hammonds girl, she can hold her own against any player in the state. They have plenty of talent. They will be in the sweet sixteen and will do some damage there also.
