  1. Kramer was 18/25 274 yards 1 td.

    Roberts 4 catches 92 yards.

    Ahlfeld 5 catches 102 yards.

Schwalbach had 47 yards rushing 2 tds.

I said it earlier and I will say it again. Hunter A. and Nate R and the rest of the receivers are becoming what we know they would be. Grady keeps getting better and better every week. He dropped some dimes tonight that the receivers brought in over there shoulders. If it was a battle of QBs tonight Grady wins that one hands down. Nice team win tonight Birds.

  2. It’s working pretty good for Cov Cath using Mayer both ways.

He is a freak, he needs the ball more. Our only TD vs Scott Co (best team in the state) was Huddy taking it to the house. He is being wasted. Don’t rock the boat? Not rocking the boat is what has gotten us where we are. Is State still the goal?!? C’mon Man!

3-1 Pretty good start to the season.

Also let’s remember if we don’t drop a pass that SC game is a different game.

  3. . I like King and Sisson but nobody out there is going to stretch the defense. King has great hands and will move the sticks but use the seam and drag across. A 6’6” running a five yard out is bad play calling plain and simple. Hudi is a threat to touch pay dirt. I am fine with coop and Buten; but there is no nick to stretch the field. I put 9 in the box press man and say Birds beat me deep! The word is getting out.

    Wake up!!

Hudy is not going to beat you deep. But the likes of Ahdield and Vinson now they will. You started to see it last week when the receivers where open down field and scored. Crammer throwing nice balls and the receivers are catching them.

Dont get me wrong Hudi is a nice ball player but the birds will continue to move the ball and win with or without on offense.

  4. I am thinking the same. Coop and Buten are fine at backs but at TE in the seam WOW. Have him hold a block and release against a backer. I can armchair this call. A TE is a dangerous weapon. Hopefully someone wakes up on hudl.

Hudi is very nice ball player but it’s not the end of HHS if he doesn’t get in the offenseive side of the ball. Does anyone realize Cooper averaged 8.5 yards a carry last week and Buten averaged 8.0 yards a carry. If all these smart people remember it was on offense he broke his collarbone last year.

Austin King and Ben Sisson have been doing a great job at tight end. Great hands and nice blockers. Come on let’s get real. If our defense keeps holding teams like they have let’s not rock the boat.

  5. Who scored and / or played well for Highlands JV? Does Buten play JV? Did Hollingsworth play well again? Who are his main targets?

I just like to know who the playmakers are that are coming up.

The ball was thrown around to a lot of different receivers yesterday. 3 different wide outs scored. Hollingsworth and Brunne both had rushing TDS.

  6. I would think the players should be in shape by now, its going into the 4th game of the season. Having extremely hard and brutal practices at this stage would do more harm than good IMO. Especially if players are going to the ER, how well will they practice after, what will it take out of them for the upcoming game. This is a short week due to the holiday, which may affect their ability to play at their best tomorrow night.

    Short week??

What are you talking about. I am sure they practiced Monday. And coach will not make that an excuse if they lose this week. Parents need to trust the process out there the coaching staff does a great job with what they have to work with.

  7. Come on guys. It was a hard hitting game. The only one that was very flagrant was the one over by the school and HHS coach’s took the kid out of the game.

Lets talk about how HHS def has played 3 games and have yet to give up a point even with giving the Tigers the ball 1st and 10 from the 10 on penalties before half and at the end of the 4th qtr.
