Strong parent-coaches at the school

To accommodate the crowd, I would speculate
Perhaps they think they can beat the Tigers anywhere the game is played!

Noon tomorrow at Holy Cross.

They had a 9 point lead with under 3 minutes to go in regulation against Male last night.
I am hoping for a Saint X Trinity matchup in the first round of the region!
I remember that game All Tell, I believe it was freshmen year at X.It was going to be tough for X to make it out of the region, but finishing runner up in the district is going to make it even that much harder. For X to advance they have to find a way to finish teams off when they have the opportunity.

Manual is solid
-
Male is starting to play better ball as of late.
-
They've got three seniors and two juniors; the rest of the varsity squad is all freshmen and sophomores.
Really got going last year with a supremely talented freshman class that's now sophomores. Brandon Wells, Jaalam Hill, Kevin Kirby and Tony Washington are all more than capable of going off for a ton of points on any particular night. They've also got a freshman forward, Devon Cooper, who at times has looked like the best player on the team.
But the senior leadership is definitely there as well. They're going to miss Roderick Maddox and guard Semaj Ingram big time when they graduate, but the pieces are there for Waggener to continue its resurgence.
I believe Waggener was even missing a couple of those key players last night in the win, but I'd have to check the box score again to remember exactly who.
And the posts below are correct, the 27th district is Trinity, Waggener, Atherton, Seneca. Ballard is out in the 28th with Eastern, Christian Academy, Kentucky Country Day and Walden.
The 8 teams most likely to make up the 7th region tournament are:
Ballard
Eastern
Trinity
Waggener
Manual
Central
Saint X
Male

Soph. Kevin Kirby was not in the line score last nite

I've always wanted eight 4-minute quarters. Leaves more time for bathroom and concession breaks.
Also all games should be played under "make it, take it" rules.
Seriously though, I don't see why we need to change anything, except maybe make some kind of effort toward more consistent officiating. And even that gets overblown sometimes. As long as there has been basketball there have been good refs and bad refs. I don't really see that changing.
I just can't see any reason for any drastic changes to the game.
If you played 8 quarters, that would be 2 games.

What about 3 thirds?
-
Central sure could use his services.

Makes Saint X 6-1 in overtime games this season!
-
PRP has top talent almost every year and seems to underperform more often than not.
-
Good breakdown!
-
I believe X is now 4-1 in OT games this season. That is a lot of OT games.
That was Saint X's first loss in OT games this year. They now stand at 5-1 in these games.
-
Kobey Jones is #21. He did not score against X.
-
Western does not field 2 teams
-
Misses led to long rebounds and PRP RUNOUTS

Most coaches put them in at the end of the season so other coaches can not get access to their team stats.
What program do you think is doing the better job? the 25% that do or the 75% who don"t.
I want to be connected to the 25%

No stats to me means weak AD.

Both the Seth and the Litkenhous rating systems do not reward Kentucky teams for winning or losing against out of state teams. The reason for this is that it is impossible to properly rate every team in the United States. Ballard and Trinity played a lot of very good out of state teams in December but none of their victories counted toward their rankings. Bullitt East and Saint X played all their games against Ky. opponents and also won holiday tournaments which added points to their Seth rankings. This is a formula based on criteria which is explained thoroughly at the beginning of each season, with current SETH Rankings available on a weekly basis. Bullitt East and Saint X may not be top 4 teams in the city but they are both in the elite 8 in the LIT.
We shall see! BTW, I am not Jerry Wyman or employed by JCPS

That is correct! Shaw had 18 shots after 3 quarters, and took only 4 more in the 4th quarter and OT.During that time, Saint X outscored Western 32-22. Shaw also had 9 assists.
