That being said, how athletic are the Newport DBs to play that style. Also how fast are their receivers, should they gamble on defense and get burned? NewCath was struggling offensively from the first game, losing a QB with a cannon for an arm doesn’t help either. Good luck to whom ever the starter is. Good luck both teams. I am reading the above and your support for NewCath...however, you picked Newport as the winner.   This is a must win game for NewCath, we are looking for a more inspired team to show up and play Friday Night.  Go Breds!

In all seriousness, Coach Volker has nothing to do with Logan Neff leaving Beechwood.  This new opportunity is one he could not pass up.  Logan has the upmost respect for Coach Volker and the entire Beechwood Staff. 

Hasn’t Beechwood had a full time strength and conditioning coach the last 3 years?

This is so unfortunate for Caleb, he has busted his rear on and off the court. I am hopeful his injuries aren’t worse, he landed very awkwardly. I understand the need for officials, but I do not understand the officiating mindset and why this player was not ejected. During this incident the same player shoved another NewCath player. Wishing Caleb a healthy and speedy recovery!   

He is a former Holmes Bulldog...brother, Jason Covington, played for Holmes & NCC.  Jabari is a former KY Select / Tar Heels player.

The issue is Mason County not having an on campus softball field.  I think that should be given priority. 

The turf on the football field allows it to become a multipurpose field for 24/7 use. Purchase a portable backstop and fence that will provide an opportunity for softball to be played on the new multipurpose turf field. 

From the limited  video that I saw of the Ludlow scrimmage it was #6, Brogan O’Brien, a very athletic kid.

Ken is referencing the current 8th grade players, this player is a 7th grader.

I do not have the final score for the St. Henry game last night...left the gym early. St. Thomas beat St. Henry in the regular season at NewCath and in the semi-final game of the St. Dominic Tournament. The St. Thomas team starts 3 - 8th graders & 2 - 7th graders...w/7th graders coming off the bench. This should be a very good game.

7th - St. Pius & IHM won

8th - St. Thomas & St. Henry won

James Pouncy has officiated these games for years...and is one of the BEST in NKY! As mentioned earlier, not a big deal when CCH was coming out on top, now they are getting Pouncy’d. James had players at NewCath, Dixie, Cooper, SK, Scott, to name a few schools 2 - 3 years ago. As mentioned by Mr. Sixer, James coaches the girls team now and has been for a number of years.
