  1. I agree; you cant blame the big fella for leaving, he was just such fun to watch this year I hate to see him go. But with him, Wall, and probably Patterson, I might actually start watching the NBA again.

    Not really a shock.

Cousins gave us 100% while at UK, I have no problem with him leaving early.

  2. You may be right and this may be the only time in my life that I have ever cheered for UL if they end up playing Duke. IMO Duke has the easiest bracket and I just cant figure out how this happened. Kansas and Kentucky have the hardest road, and I feel that the CUSE should have been the number 3 #1. Seems like the Dukies have the road to Indy paved for them. Oh well just ranting.

It sure seems like they set them up rather nicely, but I think the Cardinals beat them.
  3. Two things come to mind when I think about my earliest memory of getting into basketball.

First of all I remember when I was a kid, in the early 90s, pizza hut sold final four miniature basketballs. I do not remember the teams but I remember thinking how cool it was to get one of those balls.

The second thing I remember is the 92 Kentucky/Duke game. I was at a friends house and I remember his dad getting pretty upset over that one.

  4. Very nice post. It seems that if we Elliott County fans are on here too much we are dogged for it; and now that we are not on as much we are dogged for it. Goes to show the dislike for small town schools by people who are fans of traditional powers.

It's good to hear from you Lion Mania. We are all still here, still reading BGP, and the bashing still continues, but now it's the fans. We still love our team and still stand behind them and support them. No they are not the team from last year, but they are still good as Lion Mania says. Last years team was a dream team for Elliott County and small schools everywhere. We have no Toyota Plant or Big City across the river to draw players, ours was a bunch of local country boys with dedication and love of the game. That just didn't sit too well with the "elitists" as Lion Mania states. I remember reading lots of boasting and grandstanding on many threads that didn't receive near the trashing Elliott County did. But Elliott County went to the big dance and we enjoyed every minute of it. We aren't going away, and we are still watching our team
