  1. I understand that saying Franklin Co will be the best in the 11th is a far stretch in such a deep region; but how can you say that they will not be better than Tates Creek and Madison Central after Franklin Co beat them both, back to back, and both of these teams lose their top scorer and other valuable players. Franklin Co has everyone returning so I don't see how that part of your post can be true. Franklin Co should be a contender next year if everyone stays healthy and improves as expected. I know the kids on this team will work hard in the offseason.

Agreed on Madison Central. I didnt look that far into it. I will stick with my opinion on Tates Creek, however. They have the best freshman class in the state and they will develop tremendously in the off season. Just my opinion.

  2. That is a tough schedule, but not near as tough as most in the 11th. With Scott Co and Catholic playing nationally ranked teams, along with every top team in the state. Also i know that even another mediocre team, LCA, played the number one ranked team 6 times, and something like 12 of their losses came to top 20 teams. Im not saying Franklin co. wont be good, its just a tough place to play in the 11th.

  3. Smarts a great player but doesnt have many nights where he shoots lights out like this. The mr.basketball talk on this team should most def. go to Taylor Stewart great player could make an impact on the college level in the years to come.

Very insightful, Marovich. Any reason why UK hasnt looked at this kid??? I know he played good, not great tonight, but with the season he had I'm really surprised he hasnt gotten a call from Billy G.

  4. In Lexington I would say Creek had the best group of Freshman overall, with two freshman starting Varsity. And I know that LexCath had some size in the freshman class. (Two players 6'4+ and still growing) And at LCA, starting point guard Trace Heltons younger brother, Carter Helton, looks very promising. Along with an 8th grader that played freshman ball, Taylor Barnette, who can absolutely shoot lights out. Outside of Lexington Clark Co. had 5 freshman dressing Varsity and two(I think) starting. Looks like a talented class!!!!

  5. What type of defense do they play? Any information on CC would be apprecaited. Will they bring a big crowd?

They play a switching man to man the entire game. When i have seen them play they have wanted to slow the game down. Camels want to keep it as low scoring as possible.

I have seen both teams play this year and IMO CC wont be able to stop the Clark County run game and dont have the offense to score enough.
