Didn't Lex Cath beat Mason Cty this past weekend?
Who did Lex Cath two losses come by?
Yes they beat them.
Lex Cath lost to Cov. Cath and an out of state team from Florida I believe.
-
Moss was a heck of high school ball player in his days.
Him and Jason Williams dominated WV basketball together!
-
I think the 8th is down some this year compared to previous years. But like you said, in the long run it really doesn't matter.
The only two teams I have seen play from the 8th are Simon Kenton and Shelby Co. both looked strong against Montgomery Co.
-
I'm sure Fayette has a very good team, but they did lose to an in-state team in the KOB. Ballard seems to be not as good as advertised this year.
They looked very nice against Scott Co.

Again' date=' I hope I am wrong but if you watch some of the films from Stewart in high school I think you could compare their skills ......[/quote']
Yes, there may be some of Stewart dunking on your average high school ball players like Darius.
I doubt you could find many times were Stewart hits tough shots and takes games over like Darius?

I know I am going to catch alot of heat for this but posters on here have mentioned that Miller is very athletic and a good sized body but will not give 100% all of the time. So it may sound to me like alittle of AJ Stewart. I am not saying that is who Miller will turn out to be but Stewart is all of these things.
Stewart's offensive skills aren't near as polished as Miller's. They are both athletic and similar sized, however the comparisons stop there.

Today's C-J article on ratings....
http://www.courier-journal.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080103/SPORTS05/801030452/1002/SPORTS
"The Litratings are a computerized power ranking of each team in Kentucky based on a formula that includes records, strength of schedule and margin of victory. Games against out-of-state opponents are not included."
Now I see why Elliott was first
-
I think Scott. Co is ranked 5th just because of last year. The only ranked team they played (Ballard 11th) they were beat. They have played out of state a lot but I don't think you can really weigh that in since we don't know how good all those teams are.
-
I would pay to find out what he bases these rankings off of...
-
I think he will see a lot of playing time. A big body who can defend is something Billy Clyde is going to need next year. If he isn't starting he'll be seeing a lot of time coming off the bench.
Lets keep in mind Cats fans that in two years is when we should expect this team to blossom again. When Meeks and Jasper and Patterson all are seasoned vets.
They will need more than just those three. If Uk is expected to blossom then Darius must be contributing or I don't see were the talent will come from. Meeks and Patterson are both studs. I have heard a lot of hype about Jasper but haven't seen all the talent.

Montgomery has to many weapons and to much depth. MC by 15+
-
I have to ask...
How was the officiating?
The usual.
good and bad calls both ways. Montgomery shot more ft's because they went to the hoop more and tried to get contact while Estill shot more jumpers.
-
An E-Town Montgomery game will be a great one, assuming they both make it.
-
Sounds like you need to start a new thread...Mason v. Montgomery.
No, not right now. There is big games for both teams before they play.
I shouldn't have said that, hopefully a debate doesn't follow
-
That'll be pretty hard to do with the way Montgomery is playing right now. Mason will really have to step it up.
I think if the two teams played right now Montgomery would take it 10 +
-
Indians should take this won easily if they plan like they are capable
-
Yes, Well some people had been picking them to win the 10th. :sssh:
-
Woodson has looked very average as of late...
-
Im sure they wont mind if everyone over looks them as an easy win.
Can't say I was trying to indicate them being an easy win. Just stating I heard they haven't been playing the best basketball they can play.
-
Right on Sunrise, it seems people put to much emphasis on scoring and not the other things such as controlling the tempo, making smart plays, and getting everyone involved.
-
No one is giving props to Bath County point guard Clemons. Mr. Clemons controlled this game from the get go. He is one of the quickest players you will see off the dribble. He plays hard and never stops, fun to watch. Congrats to Bath and Coach Hicks on a well deserved win. Rose Hill will get better but needs a dependable third scoring option.
Agreed. Great player and fun to watch
-
I have heard Mason hasn't been looking very impressive early on?
Haven't got to see them play this year so I didn't know if this was true.
-
But Montgomery only lost by 1 to both teams, ranked top 5 in the state. I know it's hard to lose, even if you should have won the game, but at least they know they can hang in there with the best, and are possibly one of the best in the state.
Agreed. However, I believe the girls all ready knew they could not only hang with the best but beat the best! They have made the elite eight three years in a row, barely losing to the eventual state champion last year.
I do think the close pressure situations at the end will benefit them in the long run, can't wait to see them play again.

Glad you got home safe!
Did you mean to quote me?

I believe there is a thread out about this right now... but Elliott should not be above Cov. Cath.
