  1. Chambers was the best athlete in the 10th Region. I don't even think it is a close race. There are a lot of good players in the 10th Region and there are only a few great players in the 10th Region. As far as overall abilities, Chambers is the best athlete in the 10th Region. Don't get me wrong, Prewitt is another one of those few great players in the 10th Region. If Chambers wasn't in the 10th Region, then you would have a case for Prewitt. But anybody (well almost anybody) who thinks Prewitt is a better overall athlete that Chambers, is either a relative of hers or has ties with Montgomery Co. And this is coming from an individual who doesn't have ties to either player or school.

And for the record, I think that Montgomery Co could still do damage and be a force to recon with without Prewitt. If you don't beleive that, then just watch at what they do after Prewitt graduates. Mason Co would not do as well without Chambers.

Since Chambers is the best athlete in the 10th she automatically recieves the award?

  2. So you heard what was said? I highly doubt that...

Let me clarify, I was watching the game from right where it occured, I could see what came out of the mouth. I could be mistaken but it wasnt too hard to see what was said. The whole thing was blown out of proportion by Downing freaking out like he was punched. The tap on the head was not needed but I don't think it was in foul manner IMO

  3. I did think, though, that the refs may have been letting them play just a little too much. Did anyone see that kid hit Keith Downing on the head while he was standing by the ref? He had just fouled him, and was pestering Downing even after the foul was called, and Downing kind of jerked away, and then he just hit him on the head while the ref wasn't looking. I thought the 2nd half was going to get really ugly there for a minute.

It was not a cheap shot if thats what your suggesting. He tapped his head in a my bad way and told Downing my bad...

Downing made it look worse than it was.

  4. As of the rankings this past week Montgomery wasn't in the top 25 but, If you want to throw teams in that has been there at any point this season then Montgomery has also played Tates Creek so there's 8. That also makes clark only winning 2 out of those 5 if you want to count Montgomery as a top 25. The comment wasn't about who had the better record against top 25 teams it was simply who had the tougher schedule. So with what you said then that means MC has played a top 25 team 8 times where as Clark has played 5.

  5. Good thing about coming out of the same district is that you have to be in opposite brackets in the regional tourney. Usually it is best to go as the District winner to get the better draw. One of these teams will go as a loser. Wouldn't want to draw the loser of this district. Montgomery Co. is 22-6 and GRC is 20-7. GRC has played the stronger schedule.

I wouldn't say that Clark has had the tougher schedule.

MC's Schedule against top 25 teams: Mason(twice), Manual, Hazard, Madison Central, and GRC twice (even though I don't see how they are in the top 25) .

GRC's schedule against top 25 teams: Mason, Henderson, and Madison Central.

So Montgomery has played against a top 25 team 7 times where Clark has played against a top 25 team 3 times.

  6. easy Hopson will take control early, edmonson wont be stopped, however, if anyone can keep pressure on hopson to make quick shots, and keep the game fast, UHA might not pass it off to hopson so quick. If hopson can't come out and take control with the first couple of shots he might slow down a bit, and that can give st. henry a chance, if at all edmonson doesn't take over, which is doubtful. I do think hopson has matured though, last year bishop took him out of his usual shot pattern, and he did't get the ball down low a couple of times, causing him to just give up, or so it seem to me. I dont think he will do that this year, he understand what this tourney means to the school, and what it means for his recruiting. Hopson has to hurry back on defense, last year he could care less, this year i dont think is the same, that is my run down so far as a former U Heights alumni. GO BLAZERS

  7. Final on ESPN...Aminu is a very solid player for Norcross..I was very disappointed in Greg Monroe..If he's the #1 HS player in the class of 08, then the 08 class isn't very strong.. I would have expected more..

The 08 class has always been regarded weak. Monroe isn't a big scorer he does a lot of little things. Aminu looked pretty amazing though!

  8. You might be the only person in the whole country that actually thinks the conference is not down this year and is actually better than last years. The SEC is down this year and that is all there is to say about it...

Doubt it. Would you like to explain why your so confident? and don't mention the SEC is down because UK is down, they were down last year.

  9. I say:

    1. USC- The new NFL U?? Joe McKnight is going to be the real deal.

    2. Georgia- Loaded, Richt found his coaching stride, I look for more of the same next year. I never thought he had the right mindset to win it all, now he does as he is more of a motivator and his players seem to love him and go to war for him.

    3. Florida- Dangerous, i say winner of their game with Georgia beats USC in title game4. LSU- Should open up the offense a lil more with Periloux

    5. WVU- dont mess this up Bill Stewart.

    6. Oklahoma- usual good for getting beat by one average team and getting crushed in the BCS.

    7. OSU- dont belong here, but after getting humiliated by USC, they will probably win out as usual.

    8. Missouri- should be tough with Chase Daniel coming back.

    9. Auburn- tough, we'll see how the "SYSTEM" fairs at a major school. I actually think it will work quite nicely.

    10. UK- ok i was just joking here.... I do think they stay on the right track with about 7 wins or so.

Real # 10. WHo knows. I dont think Clemson, they always look really good then have a horrible 2 or 3 game stretch. Kansas should be good, but i will have to see another fantastic season to become a believer. I think Rutgers may sneak in here if Rice is back. Illinois could be good. Tennessee, ah... I say NO!!! Phil Fulmer is in over his head pitted against Richt, Meyer, Miles, Tuberville, probably even Petrino, even though he accasionally beats Richt frm time to time. Texas could sneak in. Who knows, as crazy as college football is now, Notre Dame or Duke may be here...ok, theres probably no chance for that.

Then shouldn't you have them ahead of USC? lol

  10. Is that just speculation on your part?:sssh:

So coach K is a better coach and recruiter than Billy Donovan right now? What makes you so sure about that? I mean Donovan brings in top players every year now just like coach K, and well last time I checked he just won two straight Championships while Duke hasn't done so great in the tournament recently...

I forgot one bad year and Duke is on the downfall and K is over the hill?

Yes, I think all of our arguement has been speculation.

  11. No it dont. What he did there was what got Patterson to decide to still come to UK, and I give Billy G tons of credit for that. I mean Donovan is known to be a great recruiter as well, and much more proven that Billy G and just put to poward types like Patterson in the NBA. So if UF was really the leader like you said, he would have just signed right away with UF as soon as Tubby left. Instead he did not, and he waited for a couple of weeks until UK hired someone. I think that shows that he was leaning towards UK and most likely was going to come here with Tubby. Then when Tubby left he, he decided to wait to see who the new coach was and Billy G did a good job at selling him to still come here. I mean just think about it, it dont make much sense at all why Patterson would still wait on UK, if UF was the leader as you said. Donovan is a more proven coach and recruiter than Billy G and he had a longer relationship with Donovan. So makes no sense at all on why Patterson would wait for UK to hire a coach, and then still decide to go to UK with a coach who he had really not much of a relationship with, unless he already was wanting to come to UK and planning on being here before with Tubby..

Actually I’m sure Patterson decided to wait to see who UK hired. Seeing that when Tubby left everyone said Donovan was coming to UK! So why would Patterson sign with a team if there was a possibility his coach would be leaving??? He obviously was interested in UK with or without Tubby that is why he waited to see who they signed. So you say Donovan being a better coach / recruiter should make Patterson’s decision easy. If that was the case then why wouldn’t he sign with Duke, seeing that Coach K is a better coach / recruiter than the both of them?? Once Gillispie was hired he went right after Patterson and out recruited Donovan for him. Gillispie combined with the uncertain future of Donovan is why Patterson came!

  12. See I dont buy that one bit. That would just not make much sense at all. Gillispie. really did not have any relationship at all with Patterson, and Tubby and Billy D did for awhile. I think Patterson coming here, shows the information GT had was most likely right and he and Lucas was planning on coming here. However when Tubby left it got them to changed their decision. I mean if UF was the leader as you said before Billy G came, then it makes no sense why Patterson then would all of a sudden change his decision to go with a coach who he barely had a relationship at all with in Billy G. Him coming here, really shows that he wanted to go here, and that is where I do give credit to Billy G though because he was able to get Patterson to still come here like he was going to if Tubby was the coach. So if Tubby was still coach we would have Patterson and Lucas right now. And who knows we maybe just maybe could have had Morris still as well. I know that would be unlikely, but with Tubby leaving that killed any chance at all for Morris coming back as well.

It actually makes plenty of sense. With Tubby Patterson is leaning toward UF. Gillispie comes in, keep in mind is known to be an amazing recruiter, something Tubby was knocked for not being good at and goes at Patterson full force. Goes to Patterson shows him specific plays he all ready has for him and how many shots he tells Patterson he will get. Patterson buys into it and switches to UK.

  13. I see you haven't posted to much on here. So just wanted to inform you, that most stuff GT here about recruiting is right on, because his sources have been probably the most accurate on here than anyones. So when he post something like that, and sticks with it. Then it usually is not just speculation like you keep saying...

:thumb: Im glad he's usually right. Im not trying to call GT out so you all don't all have to stick up for him. I stick to that Patterson was obsessed with the media and who knows about the truth of his recruiting trail. Everybody had reliable sources that were thrown off. Gt was prolly right, but you can't gurantee that.

  14. I asked So, the producer tells you that they did. Is that speculation if you tell someone?

    You answered.

So you agree that it isn't speculation when GT was told by the producer of the television show that they requested a press conference to announce UK was their choice. So, if you don't believe that GT was told that it speaks to GT's credibility....BUT you said.

So, you don't question his credibility, so you must believe that it was asked, planned and expected to occur until Tubby resigned.:thumb::D

I'm not questioning his credibility. I can't recall me saying that what he said was untrue?? did I???

Im saying there are so many stories about recruiting now-a-days (especially with the whole Patterson story) that who knows what is true or what was just speculation.

There was stuff all over Duke boards about information people had been told that Patterson would be coming to Duke, and as it turned out he was never seriously considering Duke like he was UF and UK!
