  1. I agree with you Duck but why don't the parents go to the athletic director and say something? Don't really know the new athletic director but I watched him walk out with about 5 minutes to go against Ashland. He should have walked over and fired the coach after the game was over. Everybody I have talked to not all from Greenup say that he should be let go. They have watched him coach or I mean set on the bench and the team is not prepared at all.

  2. Alot of views on this post but no replies? In the last 5 years the coaching has been better but some people wanted them gone way before this point. Why is this year any different? Too much talent on the court to be getting beat the way they are. Really love going to watch the Musketeers play win or lose but it has been hard this year!!

  3. Don't know why he would. GC went to the line more than Raceland. The officials blew a call which allowed GC to get a half court 3 at the end of the first half. The GC kid not only walked to throw it up, but he didnt get it off before the buzzer. This was a great game, the better team won. The officials did not favor either team.

I agree their were missed call on both ends of the floor. The half court shot before half time was an easy call and they missed it!! I figure one or more of the stripes that officiated this game will be one of the three in the final game Thursday. From what I seen last night they might need to start them back in the middle school level. Coach Fraley's comments on the radio after the ball game could come back to bite him Thursday night.

  4. Have followed the games all year with Greenup County but can't understand why Rees Justice is not being played? After being a starter for most of the year he is down to playing none. Could it be a personal thing?

I don't think it is personal. I have watched almost all of the games this year and he has a good 3 point shot but it is slow to develop. Plus I think he is a liability on the defensive end of the court.

  5. As a fan, I am not looking for the officials to distribute the calls evenly between the two teams, just that they are consistent on both ends of the floor.

Consistent is the issue here. If one team fouls more than they should have more fouls no brainer. But if the officials call something tight on one end and then let them have their way on the other with out blowing a whistle brings the fans into hollering.

  6.

disagree here... you name one person on this list who can

    1. take care of the ball and 2. create there own shot

Tackett and Justice can both shoot very well. But who is going to drive and kick them the ball.

Someone sed that Adkins and Craft could both put in 20 on a given nite. Because they can create. As of right now I see no one here who can create.

    Jacob Prater can create.

Prater could very well take the point job. He just has to slow down a bit and get control of himself. A bunch of times this year he was just going to fast and out of control. I think if he settles down a little he could be a big threat at the point next year!!! Already a heck of a defensive threat.:ylsuper:

  7.

What they did have was probably the best inside threat in the region, in Baker, Williams and Hampton, two solid guards in Adkins and Craft, who played their hearts out, were each capable of going off for 20 and who were able to dish off to the three after penetration. They also had a very solid bench.

I agree they was the best inside threat in the region. But next year we will have two of the three back along with Dustin Lithicum. I believe that Tackett will be a pretty good shooting guard for Greenup next year. The only worry will be the point guard position. Rumor mill has it that a certain guard from Raceland is moving back to Greenup next year.:idunno:

  8. Aw, sour milk face! Those mean old officials! Perhaps the fact that Greenup never pounded inside against a smaller opponent, or perhaps the fact that Greenup settled all night for 6'4" kids shooting 20 footers, or perhaps Coach Kidwell was better prepared and Russell never was scored on by an inbounds play.

As for the officials, I did enjoy Scooter Charles "scooting" along the floor when he wiped out. Teenager behind me said "Uncle Fester flopped":jump:

    Classic!

I am not saying that is what cost Greenup the game. I agree with the fact they didn't pound the ball inside enough and how do you leave Skaggs open all night is a mystery. All I was saying is I have watched a lot of games over the years and by far this crew of officials was terrible!! If I was assinging games for them to ref they would be lucky to get a freshman game everynow and then!!:irked:

  9. Several of us Rose Hill fans noticed the error when it occurred . It did not appear the GC was trying to make a large issue of the error at the time, which was a bit surprising. Nonetheless, it was a very entertaining game. Hats off the Fraley, I thought he handled himself very well in this game. I am sure it's always tough to come back the first time to where you coached before. I hope he does well with GC.

Well from where I was sitting the Greenup fans noticed it too and we was making a big deal of it. The coaching staff for Greenup got the Ref's to stop and check it but the outcome was still wrong because the official score book is what they go by and it was wrong!!:irked:

Any way congrats to both teams on a great ball game and I think Coach Fraley is a class act and he handled it well.

  10. I agree with coach Fraley and what he said in ADI. The point error in the 3rd quarter did not affect the overall outcome of the game. There was too much playing time left in the game. Plays down the stretch are what matter. If this error had happened with seconds left in the 4th quarter then IT WOULD matter. Same thing if a ref makes an incorrect call early in the game, like missing a goal tend, then that basket should have counted but didn't. These types of things only affect the game at the closing seconds of a game.

All that being said....... Both teams played an outstanding game with heart and hustle. Both teams should hold their heads high over how well they played. These two teams have the talent to make some noise in the next few weeks. Good job GC and RH.

    :thumb::thumb:

I agree with you on that the 1 point should have not been a factor in this game. Coach Fraley done a great job on saying that last night after the game was over on the radio broadcast. But things do happen in a game and Greenup blew some missed oppurtunities late in the 4th quarter and the outcome of the game was still decided by the 1 missing point!!
