  1. I agree that Rock will not score 35. They will have to work hard for 21 points.

If EVER returning to dominance? Whoah:irked: People said the same thing in 98 and 99. One of the best "classes" of Rockets were freshmen in 99, I am pretty sure they won a regional title or two :D

I agree that Rockcastle has been bad this season and injuries are no excuse but come on. What I am getting at with the whole 98-99 thing is that the 2007 season may be bad, but who is to say that the class of 08, 09 or 2010 may not be a state champion? Sounds crazy now, but you never know this season is rough but with the right polish a diamond may come out of it. :thumb:

:thumb:Its o.k. to be optimistic raider.

  2. If Rockcastle practices hard, prepares for this game well and gets HEALTY! they have a chance to win. This is still a Tom Larkey/Tony Saylor team, they will not lay down again. For a couple of weeks after that loss I began to believe that KC was a REALLY good team. When I watched them barely pull by Madison Southern and then look at the scores over the last 1.5 months, I came to realize that game was when Rockcastle was at their weakest physically and mentally.

    You was at this game????

    Knox/MS

  3. Bright Horizons is on the money about Tates Creek. They are on the verge of being the worst team in Lexington (they beat Bryan Station by 3 points) and are basically a one man show with Ty Sparks.

I haven't seen Bell County this year....but Lexington Catholic would beat Tates Creek by a score of 49-7ish.

I dont know where u get your information from but in several games this year against some of Lexington better record teams. Tates lead several of those games at halftime. Now they are clearly down this year, but to say they are one of Lexington's worst teams is highly questionable.

With that being said, I sure am glad that the games are played on Friday nights and not thru your postings. I'll stick with my YOUNG BOBCATS! :fight:

  4. .......who also hands the ball off on every play![/quote [/b]

If you new anything about this backup, you would also know that on probably 80% of all the schools in the state of kentucky he could step in and start. I am not saying he would take anyones position but he could be the man when called on, Anywhere!

  5. Kelvin Turner...would he crack the list?

Lance Burnett was a big, fast back from Bell Co. 89-90

Some of the highlands nation may be able to help me with the last name but I remember a back you all had, first name Corey Scarloto? I am not sure if thats the correct way the last name was pronounced.

Beechwood also had a back in the early 90's that was a very good back. Brandon Burger. Very punishing and explosive back to watch.

  6. I don't know which Lex Cath supporter said those things that you have quoted 'Fanofthe11th', but I tell you what, the two games between Lex Cath and Franklin County made a believer out of a lot of people! Good luck FC and hope to see you in the fourth round! You can be certain that no player from Lex Cath will take FC lightly!

What makes you think you will see them in the fourth round?

  7. I am seeing this talk of Mark/Doodle Woolum, but no one seems to know anything of his credentials other than he is coaching at a good football program in Florida and that his family has a close relationship with Tim Saylor. So, is he a head coach or not and has he ever been a head coach? If he is not a head coach and has never been a head coach then what has he done to make you believe he could seriously be considered for this high profile, very important job at a brand new 50 million dollar consolidated high school. I would like to believe that this new school would be able to attract a well known established head coach with a winning track record.

This is only from heresay and opinion: Mark is the name I have heard a couple of times but nothing to say that it is solid or just people talking. And NO he is not and has not ever been a high school football head coach. And as far as being attractive. It will only be as attractive as the adminstation and supporters of the football community in Harlan make it!

  8. Let me put all rumors and worries to rest. JB Donahue' date=' David Hensley and Tuck Woolum WILL NOT BE even considered as the new coach at Harlan County High School. I am not saying that they are bad or good coaches, I am just simply saying that neither of the three will be the coach for the Black Bears.[/quote']

Let me run another name by u Blackbear and what do ya think of this, Doodle Woolum?;)

  9. Finally! The voice of reason! The above is why I do not think any of the coaches listed would get the job, I also do not think Jay Cobb would be a canidate either, but I do think Tuck Woolum might be interested and it might be a good fit.

    What????? Are you kidding me?

I really think you are kinda just guessing, because anyone that has followed football knows that this man has not been successful at the two schools that he was the head coach at. Now he does have an awesome offensive football mind but getting the players to buy in to what your preaching is a whole different story.:lol::lol:

  10. Does anybody know what teams have to travel in the regionals and Simi Finals? Would Lex Cath go to Franklin or is it the other way? also Would Bell's region have to travel to Lex Cath's region?

If Bell makes it to the region and if Lex. Cath. is there. Bell would have to go to Cath.

  11. Defense was the word last night. I think most people expected a low scoring game, and that's what they got. Both D's played well.

Mecer moved the ball better than Rockcastle but the Titans have got to hold on to the football. Mercer probably should have had at least one or two more TDs.

I lost count, but I think they fumbled 7 times, with 4 resulting in turnovers. Hopefully someone will have somr real stats sometime today.

Just reading the thread earlier in the week, most of the rock nation expected rock to win by a couple of td's in this one.

  12. Rock was shutout by Bell County, however, their offense wasn't bad. They moved the ball well and had a lot of yards, they just didn't punch it in the redzone bottom line.

Lincoln County has shown the state that they can play D, they just shutout a stellar PC team, ROck threw them a TD and lost 12-2. Same story, Rock moved the ball very well just idn't punch it inside the 20.

Knox Central, scored on the second play, played real tough D and Rock played worst than most fans had ever seen. Credit goes to Knox Central for making them play like this.

Folks like you keeps a teams hopes up. Keep up the good work.

  13. Yet again allow me to explain myself. Rockcastle's first two rounds in the playoffs are already determined. If the Rockets beat Mercer/Whitley by 7,000,000,000,000 points or lose by 7,000,000,000,000 points it doesn't matter. They still play AT Knox and if they advance they will PROBABLY play AT Bell County.

Twice that you have posted this...somewhere else you think you might be???

Or just trying to get a rise out of Bell fans??

After the first meeting this year, I would say that is something that is not needed. :sssh:

  14. I do not think this will be close at all. I see alot of Lincoln Co fans wishin.

Scott co by at least three touchdowns. Size and strength will hurt the Patriots early. If at Lincoln maybe close at Georgrtown its tough.

Lincoln's interior lineman is as good as you will find in high school football. They have size but are very aggressive.
