Who was scheduled to be in this tournament? Thanks

Coach Leep at last check was happy at Trimble County. Not so sure he would move out. The Raiders are a dark horse in the 29th to be sure, but got some talent coming back next year and continuing to build on a program that for the second year in a row had a good last part of the season.
I was not implying that Coach Leep was unhappy at Trimble County. I just think he has done a nice job there and would be a good fit at these schools. I always appreciate your insight Mr. Buttels it is usually spot on!

I think Johnny Leep at Trimble County would be a good fit at Bracken or North Oldham.
-
I thought Coach Stobaugh did a very good job at North Oldham. That is probably one of the toughest districts in the state. South Oldham and Oldham have both been very strong over the past few years. They had some tough breaks this year with injuries and losing close games.
-
Walton Verona would be the odds on favorite to win the 8th region. They would have the 2 Mcneils (Cooper), 2 Moeves (NCC), 2 Mcubbins (Gallatin), Burns (Bishop Brossart), and Daughtery (Simon Kenton).
Not to mention the decent talent that they already have there.
-
Yes. I agree the 96 Owen County team would throttle this years team!! That 96 team would be favored to win the entire region this year. Also I would take Gran Mefford over Devin Duvall all day.

Congrats to these young men. Looks like a fine group of individuals.
-
Cornelius Sanford and Jalen Dixie both had big games for the Warriors.
-
I was impressed with the play of the Trimble County team tonight. Executed their offense well and had a nice defensive scheme to help corral Jalen Dixie.
Other scoring for Eminence tonight:
Trevor Payton 15
Shelby Armstrong 8
Cornelius Sanford 6
Jeremy Beach 6
Mitchell Golden 4

What was the strategy and what adjustments were made? 2 of the very best in the business on the same bench.

Is Trent Maddox still playing basketball at Berea College?
-
Thanks for the info. A lot of good players on that list. Zach Jones was one of my all time favorites to watch.
-
Sounds like a great game. This has to be the first win for Trimble over Gallatin in quite some time. Does anyone know the last time TC beat GC in boys basketball?
-
Great game tonight by both teams!! Thought both coaches did an excellent job having their teams prepared to play.

We'll never get the publicity that a lot of schools get, but this was one of the best high school games one could ask for. CC just refused to lose this game battling back time after time, second efforts not only by the ones carrying the ball but time and time again by everyone. As you pointed out the guys in the trenches made this game what it was. This was a great game to watch. This is a very unselfish bunch of kids who genuinely play for each other. You can see it in their excitement for each other. KCD has a nice team as well.

Can a player hurdle the catcher and touch home plate to avoid contact and the tag with the plate somewhat being blocked?

Just went back and looked at the play by play and UK shot 14 Free Throws down thed stretch from about the 2:30 mark so subtract that from the 37 to get 23 FT's up to that point. As a comparison, IU took 2 free throws during that stretch as well.
IU was 13-17 from the FT Line.
UK was 35-37.
With the adjusted numbers to the fouling down the stretch...
IU was 11-15
Kentucky was 21-23.
So 8 free throws was the difference in the ball game. I only post this as I've been going through the countless forums on the internet and there are plenty of people complaining about the free throws. Definitely puts perspective on the freebies each team had for the game before all the fouling started.
Man that's great analysis. On top of that had Indiana hit front end me bonus they would have had more shots which would have made that number 8 shrink.

I hate to mention Cal and Pitino in the same sentence but if there is one thing Cal could learn from Rick would be to stay right here. I would bet there is not a day that goes by that Pitino doesnt regret leaving. From the looks of things it gets worse year by year. I would also think if they had any relationship at all Rick would advise Cal to stay put.

I heard on the radio today that Iran isn't the issue. Report said that big banks are betting on oil prices and in turn speculators are driving prices up. It also said that the speculators benefit from higher prices. Who knows what to believe?
