  1. Holmes onside kick with 20 seconds left down 35-8, Collopy took a cheap shot and the game was stopped while he was transported to hospital with neck injury. The game was obviously out of reach and the Holmes coach showed no class in kicking it onside. Newcath players worried about teamate as Holmes threw hail mary for touchdown. Any other team playing Holmes watch for cheap shots.

Actually it was 35-14 when the onside kick happened. How is this classless to do a onside kick when you are losing? How was it a cheap shot, it was a onside kick and kids were diving for the ball and unfortunately the New Cath kid

possibly got hit helmet to helmet or maybe took a shot to the neck, not sure. But, it was defintely not a cheap shot.

Just another clueless response on bluegrasspreps by another clueless poster.

  2. Not a factor, but it was absolutely terrible...horrible!!!! Refs could not even come up with the correct number of the player who made the foul...three times in one game. There is no excuse for this horrible officating especially during a regional game.

Congrats to Boone Co...especially their guards who were the difference.

You must have watched a different game than i did. I did not think for one minute that the officiating had any impact on this game. Of course there's going to be questionable calls, there is in every game at every level. It's the nature of the game. It's easy to call a game sitting on your but with no other responsibilities. For the guy who posted earlier about there should have been a backcourt violation that wasn't called. You're wrong because the ball and both feet did no cross over into the front court therfore the player was never established in the front court.

  3. Here comes this crap again from you. Where were you on the last thread, when I begged you to back up your claim on there.....????? I put my BGP membership on the line and you still couldn't find anything or even respond. Unless you have an axe to grind with me, this is getting ridiculous and pathetic my friend. Going after a UK fan that is neutral when it comes to other teams is quite odd to say the least........

And yeah to be honest Miller is still a waste, one good game does not a consistent player make in my book. And I'll never believe that Harrelson is anything more than barely serviceable. I root for them to succeed because they play for UK, but I have to call them like I see them.

I would say 11ppg, 5rpg, 85% from the foul line and 45% from the 3 pt line is hardly a waste, but some people can't be pleased. By the way, over the last four games Darius is averaging 18ppg, 5.5rpg, 2.5bpg. So,

I would say he has had more than 1 good game.

  4. You rarely see anyone put up the numbers that Baker did last game, regardless of what he did as a junior.

The only stat line that I have seen this year that is more impressive than Baker's is UL Commit Wayne Blackshear's. 56 points, 21 rebounds, 8 blocks & 7 steals.

What about UK commit Anthony Davis, he had a stat line a week or so ago that read 37pts, 15 rebs, 11 blks, 6 assts, 6 stls.

  5. Who would u guys start? I can start 3 out of the 4. Jones-Drew, McFadden, Bradshaw, and Jamal Charles. Jones-Drew is a lock, but I'm scrambling with the others. Also would you go

with Miles Austin or Stevie Johnson? Thanks in advance for any input.

  6. If Dunbar moves up then Fern Creek goes to 5A. That would mean, IMO, that both SK and Ryle would be but in a Louisville district.

Actually, after looking over the scenarios, this could possibly happen, but then they would probably have to take a school like Oldham Co. and move them up with the Northern Kentucky district.

So, if Dunbar does move up and Fern Creek moves down at least one of the Northen Kentucky teams will have to move to a Louisville district. If it stays the way it is according to the article,

one of the Northern Kentucky teams could move to a Lexington district.

  7. If Dunbar moves up then Fern Creek goes to 5A. That would mean, IMO, that both SK and Ryle would be but in a Louisville district.

Why do you think that SK and Ryle would move to a Louisville district? That would only leave 3 Northern Kentucky teams in a district with Dixie, Campbell, and Boone. There are plenty

of teams in the Louisville area to make up two disticts without taking teams from Northern Kentucky.

  8. Actually it's the Drew Stubbs that's hitting .213 with 5 HR, 21 RBI and 48 SOs in 42 games this year. He's a huge liability at the plate. He isn't ready for major league pitching.

You know very little about baseball if you think Drew Stubbs is a waste of a roster spot.

  9. :idunno: :isurrender: :ohbrother: :puke:

My view of the game was a little different. I felt the personal relationship of the official and coach of Scott (Steve)helped influenced the game especially in the fourth period and in overtime. Several calls swayed the momentum and they were bad calls against Holmes.

The games wasn't won or lost by the coaches or the players, Devin (ref) became way to visible when the game was on the line and that was a shame.

  10. If my parents acted the way some of these parents act today, I would ask them not to come see me play because it is embarassing. I don't even like to watch a high school anymore because of all the ignorance you hear in the stands. To sit and scream at another human being is what makes some people go home and sleep better I guess?:idunno:
