Brett Betz would be number one I thought.

After the loss of Matt Hughes, who signed to USC last season, the talent in the league drops severely.
-
Maybe not the best ever to play for Ludlow, but for sure the best they had last year!
And you may be able to fill his spot on the field, but you will never be able to replace Logan .
I agree with you that he can't be replaced kid, but I think he was the best WR to go through Ludlow. :thumb:
-
Your wrong!
They would.

No offense to either Logan or Trammel because they both had very nice years but if you go back thru the history of Ludlow football I believe you will find a number of very good receivers who also happen to play on WINNING Ludlow teams. If some of these former wide receivers would have been as fortunate as Logan and Trammel and had the ball thrown about 40 times a game to them I believe they would have had numbers equal to or better then either Logan or Trammel.
Ludlows offense needs to be more balanced. I think the spread has it's place but Ludlow has become way to reliant on that type of offense. Everyone in the stadium knows pretty much what is going to happen and they have become far to predictable in their offense. They are easy to scout IMO. If you have 3 solid runningbacks then they need to get the QB under center and get them some carries and as pnthr4lfe said kill some of the clock.
Lawson would have been a great QB at Ludlow.
If Eflin Tyler transferred to Ludlow he would throw the team on his back and carry them to a National Title!
They would be unstoppable.
-
Lawson from Dixie did too.
-
Trammel did as well.
-
Logan from Ludlow played all three sports possible to play at Ludlow.
-
And your point? He was a senior. He can and will be replaced. Grant did some good things last year, but he wasn't the heart of the program by any stretch.
Logan and Trammel produced dang near every yard all year.
And if Lawson transferred from Dixie on time, they make the best trio wide recieving core ever to go through Ludlow.
And even since he didn't , Logan IMO was the best the reciever Ludlow has ever seen. Trammel right behind.
-
I would have loved to see Logan and Trammel play for Ludlow.
Didn't Lawson from Dixie transferr to Ludlow, if so those three could lead to a State Championship.
-
Logan was a receiver last season. He did return punts and kick offs. He had a good year, but can and will be replaced.
I don't know about the whole replacement thing!

Agreed. Williamson was probably the panthers best player this year. If not, a close second to Rouse.
Where does Logan fall in this ranking, if not 1 or 2, most certainly 3.
-
Villa by 15. I rooting for Ludlow though, to pull off the upset.

They need to even out the schools in each district, such as having a 6A, a 5A, 2A, and 1A school in each one. And throw in the other schools to each discrict, and have a seeding instead of a draw.

Year? Position?
Senior. Pitcher and utility. :thumb:

Logan and Williamson seemed unstopable tonight. I can't believe they let the game slip away.
Love and Bryan played good also and led their teas to a great win.
-
Good Game by both teams. :thumb:

Who are you referring to here?
Justin Hardin. In my opinion was the most affective player that year, even though everyone was trying to stop Pennick and King. Hardin step up, and he finished with I believe the third best shot percentage in the state.

I remember hearing rumblings about what a good coach Highfield was his first year when Pennick (sp) and company were around and there didn't seem to be as much knocking on the coach down at Ludlow. And the rumblings probably weren't about the best in the region but for DIII schools. I could be mistaken but I just found that funny.
Excuse me? Highfield didn't even go above 500 on the year and didn't win the confrence or the dictrict, with a 6'9" D-1 talented prospect, a 6'8" possible D-2 player, and one of the best shooters in the region by far, and Rouse and Logan brought speed and more shooting to the table. And you say he was getting rumbles on good coaching, trust me, I'm down here and he got no such compliments. That should have been a great year for those young men, and instead they go under 500. However, they did get into the region, that's a plus. :thumb:

PG Grant Logan (the 6th man that in my opinion should be starting.) He is a game changer. Ludlow plays at a higher pace and seems to have more energy when he is on the floor.
As well as SG Tyler Trammel (former starter) who is a good three point shooter and is also very quick.
These two did not play for a reason that i am unaware of something like missing a shootaround or something. But from what i heard they served there punishment the day before by running a lot of sprints.
So, is the coach right to sit them out virtually the whole game in a tournament when they've served there punishment? You make the call.
Wow. Yes I agree, especially when they had done served there punishment. Sounds to me like he holds a grudge because both haven't started all year until recently, and now he sits them out in i'm guessing the All "A"?
Not smart! :irked:

Ludlow had two players, one starter and 6th man, not play the first half and only a handful of minutes in 2nd half.
Who were these two players Viper?

I think its funny that Ludlow's coach was one of the best in the region two/three years ago but now we're insinuating that he may be the problem down there.
I think Coach Highfield is doing a great job with what he's got.
When was he considered one of the best in the region, please tell me because I don't ever recall this?
-
Me and my girlfriend hopes Dixie wins.

It is easy to see what the problem is, Ludlow doesn'tt play as a team. I have only seen about 5 or 6 of their games this year but from what I have seen there is some talent there but they don't have that one player they can rely on to score 20+ points a game. So Ludlow either needs to come together as a team and compete in Division III or they can continue to play as individuals only caring about stats and continue losing. I'm not trying to take any shots here, but you think Coach Highfield would try and fix this problem.
Agreed. Who is supposed to tell them to play like a team?

Don't forget about the older brother of Matt, but living in Matt's shadow, Tyler Trammel from Ludlow.
He will walk on at UK in the fall, will get playing time and end up starting halfway through the season.
