First round action from the 8th Region tournament in Lawrenceburg. Gallatin closes out its most successful season in 14years with a record of 22W-9L. Gallatin was led by Freshman Hannah Dossett's 19 points on 5-11 shooting behind the arc. Her sister, Sophomore Brooke Dossett added 12. Junior Mikkah Hignite also chipped in 12, 8th grader Autumn Bowen added 4 points and 6 rebounds. The scoring was rounded out by Senior Gloria Groves and Junior Brittany Bowman with 2 each. Gallatin returns 4 starters next season, 7 of their top 9. Hopefully the young Cats can return to the 8th Region tournament next season and make a little noise. Coach Howell did a great job with this group, especially considering they are the smallest team in the 8th Region. Congrats to Coach Wright and the Dragons, both a class act.
