Huge district win for the Cards tonight. Expecially after Lafayette was upset by Madison Central.

Again Pokey Harris had all the TD's but one, and that was by Davis. QB Campbell did not play tonight. Pokey played QB with Cook also taking some snaps. Pokey also had a TD on the defensive end tonight when he recovered a fumble and ran for the TD. Great win for the Cards tonight. Next game is another huge district game when they travel to take on Madison Central.

Congratulations to the Cards on the big win. Harris had a HUGE night. Great district win to set up next weeks game with Madison Central.

Harris, one of the team’s seniors, rushed for 196 yards and four touchdowns, including a 21-yard fumble recovery for a score in the third quarter. Harris scooped up a pair of fumbles in the second half to add to his offensive performance.

Harris rushed for 167 yards and two touchdowns in the opening half, including a 74-yard jaunt on third-and-long that gave the hosts a 14-7 advantage with 6:51 remaining in the first half. Harris had another long run — a 69-yard carry — on Clark’s third series capped his own 2-yard run. Harris had five carries for 87 yards on the Cards’ first scoring drive.

Clark senior Connor Shoebrooks, who had 12 tackles, including one tackle for a loss, said the Cards competed with a different attitude in the second half.

“It was an excellent win,” Shoebrooks said. “We got chewed out at halftime, but it was worth it. It was senior night and we knew we had to step it up in the second half.”
