CovCath opens their HS Soccer season with a victory over rival Ft. Thomas Highlands on a goal by Nick Wesell around the 70 minute or so of the contest.

Considering this game was the first regular season match for either team, it was indeed a well played contest with both teams giving the fans there money worth.

A huge tip of Theoldguy hat to the CovCath Crazies for the outstanding crowd they had at the match this evening. :thumb:Impressive start Senior Class of 2012 and without the benefit of having been in class too. :notworthy:

The CovCath JV also beat the Ft. Thomas Highlands soccer JV team, by a score of 2-1.

As big the sport of soccer is around the world it is amazing the lack of attention it gets at the high school level in Kentucky.
