Lexington Catholic 71 Woodford County 57

Featured Replies

Lexington Catholic jumped out to a huge first quarter lead at 23 to 4 and it seemed to be the difference. Experience proved to be the difference as well, after Woodford settled down they played even the rest of the game. Woodford missed layups and 3's throughout this stretch.

Catholic capitalized on turnovers and took a 20 point lead into the half. But Woodford came out with a flurry and cut the lead to 12 four minutes into the 3rd. The Yellow Jackets played extremely hard and made it a game. The Knights were just too much and held onto the lead and won by 14.

The Jackets had a GREAT year finishing up 20-10 with a 41st district championship, and semi-finalist in the tough 11th region tournament. Good news...they don't lose anyone next year so keep them on your radar.
