Featured Replies

Madison Central scored once in the 1st quarter, and was scoreless in the 2nd and 3rd quarter. GRC was up 35-7 after 3 quarter. GRC puts in most of thier subs and MC scores again late in the 4th to make the final score 35-14.

Skinner had 3 interceptions for the Cards. The Cards threw for 114 yards and MC had 70.

Congrats to GRC on Senior Night! Game had many bright spots (and some very strange one's as well).

Skinner had an awesome game on defense and the Punt Return TD right before halftime.

The Cardinals (5-4) finished second in the district standings and will take on either Simon Kenton or Campbell County in the first round of the playoffs on Nov. 5 at Cardinal Stadium. Clark concludes the regular season Friday night at Campbell County.

Reddix was one of 16 seniors honored prior to the contest. The school also paid tribute to classmate Mykal Barnes, who died of injuries sustained in an automobile accident in August.

Andrew Dini, another senior, set the tone for the Cardinals on the team’s first play from scrimmage, connected on a 50-yard touchdown pass to Pokey Harris. On the team’s second series, Dini connected again and threw a 28-yard touchdown strike to Darius Skinner, giving the hosts a 14-0 advantage.

“I’m glad we came out ready to play, especially on senior night,” Dini said. “It was just a great team effort.” Dini threw for 83 yards and a pair of scores in the opening half, while Skinner had 131 all-purpose yards and a two of the team’s three touchdowns. Dini completed five passes for 104 yards.
