lOKE27 Posted May 12, 2009 Posted May 12, 2009 Holmes served up 3 Home runs to Luke Sciamanna, Brennan Carroll and a Grand Slam to Sophomore Jackson Lauman. Boone took a 2nd inning lead with Sciamanna's Blast to Center feild. Credit should be given to Holmes Pitcher. He just didn't have any help offensively. Doug Teegarden pitched a gem for Boone giving up one hit in the third inning. The real damage was done in the sixth inning when Boone extened the lead with the Grand Slam. Although it was a win for Boone. The hitters from both teams were at a terrible disadvantage dealing with a strike zone which changed from pitch to pitch and batter to batter. Enough said, I think you can get the pitcher on this one.
