Renda pitches 6 shutout innings tonight and Meier jacks a 2-run bomb. You are correct on the term "bomb"... that is the longest homer I have seen hit at Ryle. Not sure of the measurement on it but I will say some of the farm animals across the street were worried for a moment.:scared:

In this current streak they are getting the hits at the right time, which was a problem earlier in the season. If you get people on base you have to cash in. Last night was a good example..Meier goes 3-3 with a homer, Carney goes 2-3 with a double knocking in 2.Takeda &Hempel continue to hit, Lonkard hits and gets on base from the leadoff position and it all adds up to runs. If Ryle continues to hit to go along with their solid pitching and defense, they will be a tough draw in the district tournament.
