Dixie advances to 8-3. Campbell falls to 4-2 (per khsaa).

 

Dixie scored 1 run in the first on an RBI single by Klei to score Lessley who had doubled and stole third. The Colonels added another run in the 6th on an RBI FC/E5 by Klei to once again score Lessley (walk, stole base, throwing error on the steal).

 

Campbell County scored their lone run in the bottom of the 7th thanks to an RBI single by Kremer to score Franzen who had doubled earlier in the inning.

 

The good news for the Colonels is that they won a close game decided by pitching. This was their first game of the year that there were less than 5 total runs and only their 4th game of the year in which less than 10 runs total were scored. Winning close games like this will help later in the season.

Sorry about that. I went ahead and changed it. The umpire just told me Rief had entered in the 6 slot and I just assumed he went in to pitch. :thumb:
