Mr.Network
Here's a neat personal connection for me. Friday night, Lincoln County was going to honor Tom Hurt by giving his family a plaque. Tom had worked as Lincoln County's stat man for the past four seasons before dying unexpectedly this past August. When Tom was the statistician at Garrard County, he used to sit in with me when I used to broadcast a split schedule of Lincoln County and Garrard County games on WRSL. One night in 1987 or 1988, he and I called a Garrard County game from Boyle County high school when the clock went out. They played the whole game without a clock. I wish they could have played the game without a clock Friday night but I understand why they didn't.
