Just heard Ashland district has been postponed, any word on the others to be played today?

Post on baseball thread said WLGC reporting that both baseball and softball postponed at Raceland.

First round softball in Ashland will be played tomarrow same times. Stupid weather is it the third week of May or Oct. cant tell anymore. :eek:

Are they both to resume on Wednesday?

I know Lewis Co. and Russell (baseball)will finish today and girls will play thursday at Raceland

If the finals are pushed to Friday and it is raining Friday what happens?

Saturday?

I thought the 16th drew on Sat. morning.

Why not play baseball and softball on Wed. and finals on Thurs.

Do they use the same field?

this weather has been a problem all year and continues into post season.

Weather can trump anything come postseason. I was told that host did not want to play all first round games last night because once people paid to get into either game they would have access to both games/tournaments and they would lose money and also parking would be an issue. Draw probably not as important in softball, as pitching rules are not like baseball, usually ace pitches most games if not all.
