"Shelbi Benzinger saved the game for the Scott, making a game-tying 3-pointer as time expired to force overtime, and the Eagles went on to a 65-63 victory over Holmes Friday night.

Benzinger finished the game with 18 points.

In a back-and-forth game, Scott thrived down low with freshman center Lauren Tibbs, who led all scorers with 21 points and recorded 15 rebounds, marking her 13th double-double this season.

Holmes (15-9), ranked No. 6 in the Enquirer Northern Kentucky coaches' poll, was led by senior guard Christina Weaver, who scored 19 points.

Scott had lost eight of its previous nine games."
