Any of you connected crazies have the official inside scoop as to why Beechwood passed on hosting the 35th District this year, other than they didn't get their paperwork filed (seen on other threads) so Holmes picked up the games?

They Beechwood, have hosted both boys and girls in the past?

Do the participating schools in the District split the gate evenly?

Does the KHSAA get a cut?

Maybe you can't sell enough bottled water for a buck and Twizzlers to make it, make sense?

At least everyone is assured a nice cozy bleacher, eh?

Beechwood hosted the first yr the gym was built and it was a mess w/crowd control and seating. The gym is just too small to host both boys and girls. It could hold the girls crowd but not the boys.

Don't know about the paperwork comment but Beechwood was trying to have it at TM but due to TM girls playing so well and the possibility of them hosting DII tourney, they had to turn BHS down. BHS then turned to Holmes, don't know how the gate, consession stand $ gets distributed but it will be alot more comfortable at Holmes to watch the finals when the boys play.

Thanks, so Beechwood is hosting at Holmes and the paper work comment on another thread was erroneous?
