Bardstown took the first step toward a return to Richmond with a strong defensive effort tonight to overcome a turnover-plagued affair. Freshman Daizah Kimberland lifted a struggling Tiger offense with 24 points; she leads the Tigers in scoring for the season at about 14-15 points a game.

 

Bardstown faces Caverna in the semifinals Wednesday. Campbellsville beat Ft. Knox in the other first-round game, and will face Green Co. in the semis Wednesday.

Green Co. is the biggest challenger to that, and Bardstown beat them by 18 a week ago, and it could've been much worse.
