South jumped out to a 14 point lead in the first quarter and Whitley faught back to a one point deficit at the half on the strength of a longer than half court shot by Ben Prewitt. Once again the Colonels came with a total team effort and played hard. Matt St. John was the difference in the game. When he was out Whitley could score and keep South from scoring, when he was in the game Whitley could score but it was much tougher and they could not keep South from scoring. Whitley showed that they are getting better every time out, and really are committed to getting better.

 

Mike Crawford and Mike Storms played well with 22 points and 7 rebounds between them. Jamie Lebanion and Ben Prewitt played well leading the transition offense to several easy baskets against the press of South. Almost every player that dressed not only played but contributed to the Colonel effort in this game.

 

Good competitive, physical game and one that was fun to watch!!!

Yeah,it was actually a really entertaining game to watch.Unfortunately I don't think the Boone vs. South game will be that entertaining.

The Whitley/Adair game will be an interesting game to watch. Good effort by the Colonels. A few bounces here or there and they come away with the W.

Whitley County is fun to watch. They get after it and their coach (Baker) seems to be a classy guy as well. I think this program is headed on the upswing for sure!
