Bowling Green retained it's stranglehold on the #1 ranking despite having an open week. The Purples garnered all 10 1st place votes. Owensboro tasted it's 1st defeat of the season this week, a 21-7 loss to an ever improving Meade Co team in a non-district matchup, but, despite the loss, still maintained a solid #2 ranking, based on an overall solid season. Marshall Co moved up 1 spot to #3, after winning there 4th consecutive game, a key 41-26 district win vs Daviess Co. Warren East, who's been rolling along all season, also took it's 1st loss this week to a solid Owensboro catholic team,28-14. Despite the loss, still came in at a solid #4, only down 1 spot. Lone Oak whipped up on Reidland, 56-6 to retain it's #5 spot....

Looking way ahead, if Lone Oak & Warren East win their 1st 3 playoff games, they would meet in round 4 with the winner advancing to Louisville for the 4A Championship game that would be an interesting matchup.

It could be a good game, or LO could get thier butt whipped. They certainly haven't seen a team of Warren East's caliber, or even close for that matter. Don't look to far ahead.....you might find more disappointment than you expect.
