Why is Western not in the 4A top 10?

Every other poll has them ranked 5th of 6th, but BGP is looking down on them

 

They beat a very tough East Jess team last week, and should beat a 6A team in Bryan Station this one. Pre-season they beat both Mercer and North Bullitt, but still get no respect.

 

What gives?

Western is a team that is definately on the radar and just on the outside looking in. Jumping two classes makes people a little leery in the preseason. Mercer County was 15-0 last year and didn't make the preseason poll in 5A. I have a feeling you'll see Western in the BGP Top 10 before too long as long as they take care of business on the field.

 

As far as what other people have them ranked, we put together our rankings and really don't look at what other people have done. One poll this week (AP) gave Somerset a first place vote in the 3A poll despite losing at home by 12 points.
