I think this puts Hazard as the best team in the Region with JBS not far behind. Then Breathitt at a distant third. Coach Hatcher and his staff will have to work extremely hard to win the Regional Tournament this year. But they can do it

I still think JBS will be the team to beat.

With the addition of the point guard (Whitaker) to Hazard and the 6'5'' Warren kid too, to go along with the big Jones and Campbell kids that Hazard return, they will match up better now with JBS. With Hazard's size now and a true point guard they will be able to zone every one and not let them in the paint. That will hurt JBS. I see these two as the only teams in the region that will compete for the regional championship, there are some dark horses but they have to prove theirselves during the season: (Buckhorn, Letcher Knott) I would have put Breathitt in their but they are having major problems with some of there players leaving (Noble and Salyers) and some of the others not playing basketball only football (Fugate) Could cause some problems for them. I don't see Perry Central being very good this year, because of the youth they are going to have, but give Coach Hatcher some time and he will have them playing well towards the end of the season, and the region is at PCC this year too. Who returns for each team?

Campbell,Jr.- plays hard, lot of emotion, team feeds off of him

Lewis, Jr.- starter late in year, good scorer

Jones, Jr.- tall, long kid who could be sleeper of region, Big Al will make better

Kidd, Jr.- athletic gaurd, wing

Combs, Sr.- quick, good shooter

C. Martin, So.- Big kid, smart player

 

Delpont, Fugate, Meehan 3 soph. could see alot of min.

 

2 new kids Whitaker and Martin???? Whitaker should start point, do not know much about other kid.
