J C Collins gets his 6th win, Robby Ryan gets the loss.

Surprised at the margin, not the outcome. Great job, Raiders, in dismantling a decent Scott team.

Ouch.

 

Robby Ryan actually pitched a good game holding the Raiders to a 4 run lead thru 5 innings then all heck broke loose. Raiders put together an 8 run 6th.

Layne plated 3 RBI' s with a double combined with a bunch of singles and walks.

 

Collins scattered 4 hits over 5 innings and Mace allowed 2 hits in the 6th.

 

I understand the two teams will play again Friday, 5:00 at Scott.

You never know what Scott team is going to show up they are Dr. Jekyl and Mr. Hide. Ryan pitched good early but could not get no run support at all, Scott left runners in scoring position in 2 of the first 3 innings. Ryle is very good and could win the 9th Region this year. Scott however needs to get their act together and start learning to come back when down runs early. I could see it from the stands when Scott got down early players heads started looking down towards the ground. The players also need to quit worrying about personal statistics and remember this is a team sport and 1 or 2 players can't do it all. TEAM, TEAM, TEAM remember that when the Districts come around and I hope you guys go far.
