Metcalfe scored the first two points but FS ran off 11 straight and never trailed again. The Lady Hornets got as close as 4 early in the second quarter but FS built a 37-20 halftime lead. Suffocating defense which led to several layups for the Lady Cats. Metcalfe had a hard time finding open shots early. The largest lead was 31 I believe midway through the fourth quarter. FS gets a tough draw against George Rogers Clark in the first round at Rupp. First Region title for FS since 2009 when they lost in the first round in overtime to eventual state champion Iroquois who were  led by Asia and Adia Mathies.

Seven seniors for FS were able to bounce back from an upset loss in the Region semifinals last year. LaReesha Cawthorn had 19 points and was named 4th Region MVP. Kloie Smith had a career high 21 points also for FS.
