The young fella is a dawg! Going to be fun watching him continue to grow his game over the next few years. OTE will be ringing his line down the road is he stays the path he is on. Some would say that's a stretch but man the kid is gifted and works his but off perfecting his craft. Good recipe for success.

Right now he plays mostly in the paint.  For OTE to come calling he’s going to have to either grow another 4-5 inches or really develop his game out of the paint.  He should follow the EJ Walker plan.  He was really similar at the same point but Coach Walker knew he had to develop his skills away from the basket and now you have a guy that can play the 3 in P4 basketball.  One thing I do agree with is the kid is a dawg and very talented.  Can’t wait to watch him develop over the next 4 years.

EJ is a great comparison for when EJ was at 15 and where Davies is at 15. Both really raw at that age and you could tell they had a frame to fill out. Davies will need to transform his body the way EJ has too by bulking up his entire frame. If Davies can put the weight on that EJ has by the time Davies junior season starts he won't be playing in NKY at 17. Davies plays in the paint right now because that's where he gives his team the best opportunity to win. If Davies were to play on the wing they would be missing their post presence the same way when EJ plays on the wing that doesn't give his team thd best chance at winning but that doesn't mean he or EJ can't play outside. If Davies played with a bunch of dudes that were 6'3+ and had a 6'8 center he could easily play on the wing right now with no doubt. Davies skill set at this point is way further ahead than where EJ's skill set was at 15 and that's not a knock to EJ in any shape or form. Davies has a very deep game, he's known for a long time that his size wouldn't always bail him out of everything and he has worked on it all consistently. I'm not talking deep as in shooting range I'm talking deep as in he has 3 levels of scoring in his bag. He may not be getting able to show it off right now but if he were playing with a squad where everyone was equal or better than him people would really get to see what he is capable of, which is exactly why there is OTE. You got to figure he is 15 and he is giving them the best opportunity to win by getting beat up in the paint. I can't imagine what he will be like when he gets his chance to step out at the wing and the top of the key and really show his art of the game teams are really going to be in trouble. EJ and Davies would be a nasty 3-4 combo together if they had somebody to play the 5. I think Davies still has another growth spirt in him too he is still built like a baby giraffe.
