She's.........back......and finally feeling fine....and had 23 points to prove it. Who am I talking about? Casey Jackson....super Sophomore for NDA who has been fighting a nasty cold for the last three games. Not sure if she had a fever tonight though, as she was red hot on the floor......

 

Emily Drees had a stellar game tonight (even though she told me at the Father/Daughters Dance she wasn't going to play), and scored 17 while Molly Johnson had 16 and did an outstanding job on the "D" side of the ball too.....

 

BTW the NDA girls sure can move on the dance floor as well as they can on the hardwood....Sure wish I could say the same for the Dads....:lol: :lol: as most of them were pretty sore tonight.....

 

In a foul plagued game, the men in stripes took away any chance for either team to get into a flow of the game. Seems a pattern that I see far too often in the Ninth, that you don't see in other Regions, that is the Referee's being the show, instead of the players.....

 

Was nice to met for the first time 3ptshooter at the game tonight.....

 

Sure hope, for the sake of a better game, that the two Referee's that did this game at Conner, aren't the same two for the Conner/Boone game.

 

Congrats also to Kat O'Neil, who is the heart and soul of this Conner team. Great kid, awesome Basketball player, sure wish some of the girls who started playing with her, her freshmen year were still playing.

I remember very well in her freshmen year, how the Conner faithful were looking forward to her Junior and Senior years with hopes of going down state.

After looking at the paper, Dickman did indeed score 18pts but I could have sworn that the point totals on the Conner scoreboard (on the wall), showed #33 with 17pts....

 

BTW Emily did tell me that Coach D had told her, that she was going to sit out to rest her knee.... and considering that Dickman didn't play a lot in the third and fourth quarters due to fouls, Drees did play a stellar game, even if I did get the point totals wrong....
