Owensboro Catholic 28 Henderson County 2

Featured Replies

OC gets a good win, but one has to wonder how this turns out had Henderson's Mr Do-All qb Trajdon Davis played. That's a massive loss of production as he had 5 of their 7 rushing touchdowns and was the 2nd leading rusher to go along with his very capable passing numbers.

Sophmore qb Jack Dalton started in his place and I believe he only had attempted 1 pass in his Freshman season last year.

Not taking away from OC at all, I was just really interested in this one with both teams at full health.

Henderson travels to Mayfield next week, OC gets Crittenden County at home.

Atwell rolled his ankle the first series of the game. Had to be helped off the field. Sat out a series and then came in and played thru the pain.   This played a role in the game also.

Not taking anything from Henderson. They are a solid team. Will be interesting to see how they play at Mayfield.  I’m thinking it could be a really good game.

I’d also like to know the number of flags thrown on each team. Was very chippy and probably both teams had close to 100 yds each in penalties. At least it felt like it.
