NewCath 65 Bellevue 43

Bellevue came out shooting well from 3-land as NewCath sat back in a sagging zone to try and take Merritt out of play. Bellevue would take an early 10-6 lead as that strategy didn't really work, but one key was it did keep NewCath out of any foul trouble which would be important later.

Still Klei was doing an MJ impersonation and NCC was up 25-19 I believe after one period. In a second quarter that had both teams somewhat winded NCC would widen the lead to 37-27 at the half with Klei having 19 at the break.

In the third quarter with no one in foul trouble, NewCath went to the zone press which pretty much did Bellevue in. Couldn't really get the ball up the floor and then a missed three would often result in a fast break the other way.

Bellevue would get as close as 53-39 but had no legs left and Freshman Sandfoss was beating everyone down the floor off the dribble for a huge fourth quarter. Bellevue just couldn't run with the Breds and the margin widened to over 20.

Congrats to Klei on MVP and good luck in Richmond
