15th Region Week 7 Review

What a week of basketball it has been in the 15th, everything is starting to pan out and we have about a month left until district tournaments start. We finished up the All "A" tournament which saw Martin COunty defeat Pikeville in the finals and the will represent the region in richmond on the 26th.

1. Martin County (14-2): Martin County looks to be playing the best basketball in the region right now and capped of the week with a strong All "A" tournament with a championship win over Pikeville. They play 3 games this week before heading to Richmond on the 26th.

1/17 @ East Ridge, 1/19 @ Betsy Layne, 1/21 vs Belfry

2. Pikeville (10-5): Pikeville went 3-1 this week in the All "A" falling in the Championship, they jump right into district play this week with rival Shelby Valley.

1/20 @ Shelby Valley

3. Floyd Central (11-5): Floyd Central went 2-0 on the week with big wins over Magoffin County and a District win over Lawrence County to move to 2-1 in District play.

1/17  vs Shelby Valley, 1/20 @ Lawrence County, 1/21 Knott County Central

4. Shelby Valley (11-5): Valley went 1-1 this week beating Prestonsburg before losing to Pikeville in the All "A" semifinals, They have 2 big games this week that will  be a big test for them.

1/17 @ Floyd Central, 1/20 vs Pikeville

5. Johnson Central (9-8): Johnson Central went 2-0 this week with wins over regional opponents Lawrence County 74-68 and Pike Central 54-39. The Golden eagles seem to be getting right down the stretch.

1/17 vs Magoffin County 1/19 @ Paintsville, 1/21 vs Mason County
